kanipek 224
I was using 3.0.5934.0 and metadata was being added when new episodes were recorded. Emby updated to 3.0.5970.0 and now metadata is not being added, have had to fall back on MCM to add metadata. This is Windows 7 Pro x64. Kodi 15.2. Kodi add on 2.2.10. I am attaching the latest log. There are quite a few other logs I can provide if necessary. Can someone please help! Thanks for reading! server-63599605206.txt
Luke 37009
how do episodes look in the emby web interface?
kanipek 224
I don't understand what you are asking Luke. Sorry can you be more specific?
Luke 37009
if you browse the built-in emby web interface http://localhost:8096 and navigate to the episodes, do they have metadata there?
kanipek 224
What I am seeing is the newly added episodes are not even being displayed. I have added a new episode of a show and it has not been touched with MCM so no metadata was scraped - not displayed in the Emby Web interface. For the episodes I have added and used MCM to fetch the metadata they are also not being displayed - immediately but after a period of time they are displayed. Luke 37009
have you run a library scan?
kanipek 224
I have not. I have never run a scan after the initial set up. I did not think it was required unless a new folder was added. I am pretty new to Emby so please forgive my lack of knowledge. I assume you mean a scan from the web interface? Luke 37009
Yes that's what i mean from the server dashboard under Library. It's generally not necessary but it's a good thing to try in a troubleshooting situation.
kanipek 224
Thanks I will give that a try. And report what I find.
kanipek 224
Okay well what I am seeing after the Emby Library scan is - All the new episodes with the MCM scraped metadata popped into the web interface and the new un-scraped episode also is there and there is now metadata in its folder. Added another new episode and it is still not automatically adding the metadata though this usually occurs within 2 minutes. So what next? I am glad that I can do a library scan to get the metadata though - I prefer it to that generated by MCM. That is huge for me. Thanks!

kanipek 224
Version 3.0.5970.0 Kodi Add On Version 2.2.10 Kodi Version 15.2 Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 I have see no error messages. Metadata is not automatically being added/scraped/generated for new episodes. This was working in previous version 3.0.5934.0 Performing a library scan from the web interface adds/generates/scrapes the need metadata. I think this is the necessary info for reporting a problem, If I missed something please let me know. Thanks for reading! Any and all help is greatly appreciated. server-63599605206.txt
Solution Luke 37009 Posted May 23, 2016 Solution Share Posted May 23, 2016 Under library -> advanced, ensure that you've enabled the realtime monitor.
kanipek 224
That did the trick! Thanks so much for your help Luke, greatly appreciated!!
Luke 37009
Just fyi, if you use auto, the server may change it to disabled if your file system throws errors related to the realtime monitor, just to prevent them from happening everytime you use the server. so that's one reason it may have been off, but you can always force it on by selecting Yes.
