Morning @@pcostanza, All

The builds are now done and we have Emby running with its packaged set of dependencies, which will make installation easier for end users and improve stability/availability.

I expect us to make this available and start testing Monday/Tuesday next week.

Those who have responded with the system information requested here (http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/34866-synology-package-in-development/?p=334777), will be direct messaged with the details.

In the meantime, here's a visual...

Thanks for the update James. I'll be looking for the info early next week.

Looks like it's coming along nicely and I'm pretty much a virgin so I'm looking forward to learning as well as testing.

Evening All

As you've probably noticed, Synology have released an update to DSM6 (v6.0.1-7393), so we're just taking a moment to test against this version as well.

So far no issues, so I don't anticipate any delays.

It was however a good opportunity to test the package updating functionality. This is how you will update Emby going forward...

So we should be sent info regarding beta testing any day now?

Sorry, I'm a bit impatient to get Emby working soon. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

I am sure when James feel the app is ready will post the info for testing.

Evening Folks

So, the DSM6/x86_64 build is ready to go testing, I'll be sending a message out shortly with details on how to get started.

This is what you can expect to see in package center...

5758b0bf5b4f5_x86_64_dsm6_readytogo.png

When the install completes, you will see this popup in your notifications...

5758b11fd5059_pkg_center_successfully_in

And a new icon will appear on the main menu...

5758b12d1a585_emby_main_menu_icon.png

* the spotlight is a DSM feature for newly installed packages, not part of the normal icon!

Thanks for your patience

    1) Are you currently running Emby on Synology? No

If yes, which Synology platform are you using?

    2) Would you be willing to test development packages? ABSOLUTELY!!

However, for now you can really help by answering the following two questions:-

    1) Are you currently running Emby on Synology? If yes, which Synology platform are you using?

Yes. DS-216SE

    2) Would you be willing to test development packages? (these will install in parallel and not touch or interfer with the existing installation)

Yes! I can't wait the time to see it working

Best

Evening @@jrpinto

Thanks for the information, for your system try 'cat /proc/cpuinfo' - that should work.

Can you confirm your model, uname indicates it's a DS214se not a DS216se.

We're currently testing the DSM6/x86_64 package, but will use the feedback here as part of prioritising future package development.
