alguem 1
In some videos, when I choose a chapter or try skipping forward / backward, the video restarts from the beginning. Strangely, subtitle don't match. Any clue?

Luke 37007
Hi, can you please be more specific, including describing an example video. Can you please supply the media info as seen from the web interface? Then, please try to play that file and provide the server and transcoding logs: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks. alguem 1
Thanks, Luke. Low quality videos, that play without transcoding, work correctly. Higher quality videos, don't resume, skip or play correctly when choosing a chapter. It used to work a week or so ago. Here are the logs and the media info. transcode-3fe176a2-64f6-4ded-a399-c21f74b62ca7.txt transcode-69d6d505-36d4-441f-82ee-b93b8ff10bcc.txt transcode-55b8025e-01fe-47d6-aada-15090a623341.txt transcode-9c9ed2c2-0c32-48b2-9254-692d9de87281.txt server-63597763405.txt
Luke 37007
ok, i tried simulating this by dropping the app's bitrate setting to a low value. i can't reproduce it sorry, but i'll keep an eye out for it. your transcoding logs all look fine, no errors there, so it looks like something specific to the device or videos. alguem 1
I watched the same video two weeks or so ago, in the same device. It worked fine. Is it possible to downgrade the app?
alguem 1
I cleaned the data and the cache in the app. At the beginning, it worked normally. But then the problem with skipping and chapters selection repapered. I attach the logs. Then I cleaned the data again, and changed the streaming bitrate. The video doesn't skip or play from the chapter selection Thanks for your help. 24dbf8f2-d3d7-48df-9783-046b6859887f.log 63012dc1-1826-4794-bcd4-2edc064b7694.log 677cc224-ee16-4914-98df-e5aea8783b5e.log server-63597779536.txt transcode-e0aca03c-a307-4dad-8fe2-7c10291ff8d7.txt Edited May 2, 2016 by alguem
Luke 37007
Ok, you can always try the open beta version in case that makes a difference: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/24350-android-open-beta-testing/ I apologize. I am not sure what the issue is right now because the logging is showing no obvious problem. I wonder if there's possibly some momentary network disruption causing the connection to drop. In any case, I will keep an eye out for what the issue might be and see what we can do. Thanks.
alguem 1
Strange behaviour after today’s update: I flashed yesterday a different rom to my tablet, and Emby app was running normally. After today’s app update, I could not skip or play the chapters of the video I was watching, but I do to others. I restarted the app and reboot the tablet, by nothing chenged. After I restarted emby server, I could watched that video normally. However, if I change the streaming bitrate, the problem is back again (this I didn't checked yet after the rom change). Any clue? Luke 37007
Hi, I have noticed some issues with the video restarting at the beginning after changing quality so I am looking into them.
Richard Branches 231
This is an old topic but today I noticed I can't skip through chapters using the next and previous buttons while watching the video directly or transcoded, I'm using the latest stable server (3.5.3.0) and the latest stable version of the Android mobile app (3.0.16), the video has chapters inside the MKV container here is more info about the video, please let me know if you need any logs: Edited October 14, 2018 by delacosta78
