Hello Everyone, I searched the forum for the issue i have encountered with, i couldn't find one exactly like mine. I am new to Emby and to LiveTV. I found a link and i created a playlist:

#EXTM3U

#EXTINF:-1,MUTE_TV

I saved it as .m3u file. I can see the channel MUTE_TV in my LiveTV, however it plays 20 - 60 seconds and stops. If i play it again then it does the same thing stops after another 20 - 60 seconds. I am using EXTINF:-1 -> Doesn't this mean play infinite. What am i doing wrong. Can you guys help me out. I am using Embyserver Version 3.0.5930.0 (Official) in Docker. I also tried IPTV plugin in Emby same thing.

Thank you for reading the post.

Hi,

@@Luke This issue is still present in the latest stable version (3.1.2.0). Is this a known issue or do I need to report the media playback issue?

So is the stream a paid for stream or one youve picked up?

Whats happens if you play it in vlc or a browser?

@maegibbons: It's a non-paid stream and plays well in vlc when using the loop button. In Emby there is no loop button at this moment.

@Bernie V,

I am unable to play that sream in VLC.  Is it firewalled to you?

Free streams usually fail because to many users are trying to use it at once and it goes over a stream count and the oldest stream gets dumped on the server.

As i understand it the loop features keeps on restarting the stream to counteract that - i could be wrong.

@Bernie V,

Looking further at it, i believe that is a hacked channel from a paid provider possibly on a "free trial" basis.

Your link is posted all over the net and will DEFINATELY suffer from being dumped due to over usage.

Subscribe to a Trial from a paid supplier (usually free for 24 hours)  and you will see that emby works fine then.

p.s.  This is a case of "been there, done that, got the tee-shirt!!!"

@maegibbons:

Thx for investigating. I don't know what link you have but I didn't post the link in this topic (I'm not the TS).

My link is from ipsource and I use it when I'm some days outside my country.

Apologies - I was looking at the OP link that he posted in a linked forum post - My bad.

However, it may be the same.  If you want to PM the link i can verify what I see with it.
