arrbee99 1544
Just wondering if there's an easy way to update the boxsets I have using this plug in. Several times I've had DVD's in boxsets and then updated them with Blurays so the set contains both. If I remove the DVD's, the number of discs showing in the boxset image doesn't decrease - my Aliens boxset for example, apparently contains 5 movies... Happy2Play 8144
This possibly the change ebr made to not remove boxset item that was reported as an issue in the past? Have you tried a refresh to collection via the Metadata Manager?
arrbee99 1544
Tried refreshing a few individual collections/boxsets, didn't work (Dark Knight Trilogy still shows 6 items for example), also tried 'Refresh Box Sets' option in the Auto Boxsets Plugin, didn't work. Guess I can just delete the relevant boxsets (there's not that many) and wait for them to be recreated automatically, just wondered if there was an easier (ok lazier) way. Happy2Play 8144
For the ones showing wrong information have you looked at the Collection.xml are all the extra one listed there?
arrbee99 1544
Just looking at the Dark Knight, those 3 movies get mentioned in the .xml file 11 times. I think thats from both having them in different formats (DVD and Bluray) and from moving them between different drives. Guess that doesn't help much. Maybe should just delete and recreate.... Vidman 589
Where are you seeing how many items the boxset contain? As per your original post Edited April 3, 2016 by Vidman
Luke 36886
don't delete the entire boxstes, just remove the obsolete items inside them
arrbee99 1544
Not sure if I'm connecting things together that shouldn't be, but - a) have say 3 items in Dark Knight collection but it shows 6 discs on the collection cover because I at some point had Bluray and DVD versions of the same movies in that folder, I removed the DVDs but the image stayed the same the collections.xml file keeps lots of locations for these movies which have either moved to another drive or directory, or been removed from the library
<ContentRating>PG-13</ContentRating> <Added>01/02/2016 13:02:13</Added> <LockData>false</LockData> <Overview>Christopher Nolan's series reboot of the Batman franchise.</Overview> <LocalTitle>The Dark Knight Collection</LocalTitle> <DisplayOrder>PremiereDate</DisplayOrder> <TMDbId>263</TMDbId> <CollectionItems> <CollectionItem> H:\MKV Movies\The Dark Knight\The Dark Knight.mkv </CollectionItem> <CollectionItem> H:\MKV Movies\Batman Begins\Batman Begins.mkv </CollectionItem> <CollectionItem> H:\MKV Movies\The Dark Knight Rises\The Dark Knight Rises.mkv </CollectionItem> <CollectionItem> F:\Users\Public\Public Bluray Uncompressed\Batman Begins\Batman Begins.mkv </CollectionItem> <CollectionItem> H:\MKV Movies\Movies - DVD\Batman Begins\Batman Begins.mkv </CollectionItem> <CollectionItem> H:\MKV Movies\Movies - DVD\The Dark Knight\The Dark Knight.mkv </CollectionItem> <CollectionItem> H:\MKV Movies\Movies - DVD\The Dark Knight Rises\The Dark Knight Rises.mkv </CollectionItem> <CollectionItem> F:\Users\Public\Public Bluray Movies unsquished\Batman Begins\Batman Begins.mkv </CollectionItem> <CollectionItem> J:\Bluray Movies Uncompressed\Batman Begins\Batman Begins.mkv </CollectionItem> <CollectionItem> J:\Bluray Movies Uncompressed\The Dark Knight\The Dark Knight.mkv </CollectionItem> <CollectionItem> J:\Bluray Movies Uncompressed\The Dark Knight Rises\The Dark Knight Rises.mkv </CollectionItem> </CollectionItems> <Shares> </Shares>
So should those old file locations be removed from the collections.xml file, and is that whats stopping the collections image updating to show the reduced number of movies in the collection - Luke - haven't removed the whole boxsets, have removed individual items and it looks like they're removed from the .xml file, but, as I said the number of discs (the DVD circles) shown on the collections image isn't reduced
ebr 14862
Now refresh that collection with the "replace images" option.
arrbee99 1544
Sorry to be dumb, but there isn't, as far as I can see, a 'Replace Images' option. There's an 'Edit Images' option, which shows all the Images and Backdrops - do I delete the Primary Image ?
arrbee99 1544
Ah well, deleting the primary and refreshing works nicely. Would be nice to know if those old entries should be removed from the .xml files though, unless it just doesn't matter.....
Luke 36886
shouldn't matter
ebr 14862
It is now called "Full Refresh" in the menu. I believe it is only accessible from the metadata edit popup now.
