What do you mean?

Maybe i'm confusing but your 2 mono packages could be marked as launched at the same time.

Is it the mono synocommunity pkg that is marked as stopped ?

Hi, there!!!

Finally, it's working. But I can't connect to it from the browser, using http://MYNAS:8096.

What do I have to do?

EDITED: Just waited for two minutes and it's accessible!

Probably a DNS resolve problem.

Did you tried with your local IP ?

Ah yeah... normal, as the package is not optimized for the DS414 specifically.

I think it's better to have a 415+ for a better experience.

you're talking about the general better performance of the 415+ or can Emby run natively (without mono) on it?

is there a way to update to beta on synology?

anybody here who can acces the webinterface with an IOS or mobile device? I'm getting a black/grey screen only.

Also I can't use the Emby IOS app anymore via https, although I have a signed ssl certificate.

We'll have a new stable out this weekend to address the safari issue. Thanks.

nice

is there a way I can check that Emby really uses my certificate?

I'm having the suspicion that it's still uses its own.

Hi all,

long-time no post... Would really appreciate some help though  :D

I had a 'laugh' last night trying to update on my Synology RS2416+...

Followed the original instructions in this forum for updating, and ran into the root account issues.. I resolved these by following some tips from Synology forums, although winSCP still won't work for me, I can now SSH in as root and cp/scp the files from a share to the locations: /volume1/@appstore/emby/share/emby

So all good.. So, i stopped emby, renamed the previous emby to emby.old, and moved the new binaries to the correct location... I then ran into the issues people seem to have here.. Emby won't start..

This led to two odd things..

1) despite following the advice of installing the Xamarin implementation of mono, and updating the start-stop script (/volume1/@appstore/packages/Mono/usr/bin), and restarting the whole NAS etc, emby still wouldn't start

2) after reverting to the previous version of Emby (restoring the previous binaries and script), "magically" CoverArt started working... Although it's crazy slow

I'm no *nix expert - not by a long shot - my technical background is all windows servers.. So, please could I get some advice on how best to report the problems and debug this etc... Does Emby log to the syslog? are there any other log files I should be looking at? Mostly to help me resolve #1, though, I would like to understand why CoverArt started working and see if I can do something about its speed (or lack thereof)..

thanks

I updated to 3.0.5912.0, unfortunately I'm still getting the black screen only.

Ok, I am sorry, I cannot reproduce it, so it's probably something else.

.Net technology is part of the native code so, in my opinion, no Emby cannot run without it.

Yeah i'm talinking about the general performance of the 415+ which has many differences with the 414 : x86 processor quad-core, 64-bit and 2GB of RAM.

Those elements make it more efficient while running alongside other applications.

And another feedback : the official version of Mono from Xamarin has a poor RAM management, has it consume more RAM slowly until Emby is stopped regularly.

Hi there!

Trying to get Sonarr working, I uninstalled both mono (Xamarin & Synocummunity), so I had to uninstall Emby.

Once I installed everything back, Emby does not run anymore. I just edited the INFO file to point to Mono instead of to mono, but it didn't help.

Could you help me to get it back on the run?

Thanx!
