Exact same problem here from a fresh install on Debian, using stable repo.

The openSuse build service that we use for both Ubuntu and Debian has been having some issues today, so we're just going to have to wait it out.

Ah okay, good to know. Was just curious as there was no blog post here. Thanks for the explanation

None that we can see, we have reach out to openSUSE on IRC and have not received a response.

Thanks for the update. Do you have an alternative upgrade method? Can we upgrade with a .deb file or something similar?

At this point it's a highly visible issue so we're just waiting it out. We have not prepared any manual builds if that's what you're asking.

Actually you could make your own by using our docker build method.

I know you're working on it, but thought I'd add another data point.

Luke indicates in post 4 that the issue is with OpenSUSE build service for Ubuintu and Debian. Not sure how the packages are built and distributed, but the issue is wider ranging that just the deb packages. I'm on CENTOS and am therefore using rpm packages rather than deb packages, but have the same issue.

The version numbers seem to be inconsistent on my system. The Emby dashboard says I'm running 3.0.5871.0 and 3.0.5882 is available. However yum reports that emby-server 3.0.5879 is installed.

Here's my yum transaction log for emby-server:

Thanks for your work on Emby

The issue is with opensuse itself, and any packages that are being compiled from git.

I can't explain in details but somehow the plugin maker of Emby for OMV has resolved this issue.

He created a "force update" button inside OMV, and some scripts runs where it upgrades to latest, no matter what.

Maybe you could understand how he does that....

More then likely he downloads the mono compile provided on github releases and overwrites the existing files. That doesn't help us in fixing our packages. It is another way for people to update, but it is more complex. We are actively working on this. We will post something once we get it resolved.

Thanks for fixing this. I saw that the Ubuntu 14.04 build already passed and I can confirm it's working, my server updated successfully.  :)

Update: Tumbleweed also worked.

Fresh packages are available for all the supported distros since around 3 hours ago.

Glad that you are enjoying it. :)
