Brendon 101
As the title says, how does MBS go about getting the audio/video info and where is it stored? I am asking as i have run into a problem, not sure if it's MBS or CoverArt, i have my collection sorted by definition not type and have had no problems until now.... Two movies in my collection Night at the Museum 1 and 2, put seperately in the movies folder they are seen correctly as 720p and given the blu-ray cover, however if i drop them in a folder as a collection they change to the DVD cover that i use for anything below 720p, take them out and they go back to the blu-ray cover Now i have had a couple of movies incorrectly detect the definition (not in boxes), have removed them from server access and put them back after 10mins and they detect correctly, tried this several times over 24hrs with these 2 and no go, i should also say this hasn't been a problem with any of the 50+ box sets i have already added, just these 2 movies so far and i know the .mkv rips are good i did them and mediainfo confirms they are indeed 720p/6 channel. So i figure if i know where and how this info is gathered, (now mediainfo is defunct for MB), i can find out why Edited December 20, 2013 by Brendon
ebr 14903
We use FFProbe and it is the width that will matter as far as resolution is concerned. I think >1200 = 720p and >1900 = 1080.
Brendon 101
yep i know what the definitions are as i said mediainfo confirms they are (below) and placed seperately so does MBS, not once they are in a collection folder though. ebr 14903
Moving their location doesn't cause a different CA profile to come into effect does it? Perhaps a server log from when one of these items is treated by CA would lend a clue as well.
