is anyone having this problem, if i play MKV Movie with Dolby True HD or Atmos the file play fine the audio is perfect, if i play a Bluray Folder it only play The AC3 Code and no the TrueHD, i use the last beta of emby and last server official update

if i play the bluray folder direct from my server to kodi, everything play fine, so i think the problem in my case have to be emby plugin

thanks in advance for any help

I just need your Kodi log. That is all. You say when you play to Kodi from the webclient, it plays fine, but when you play directly from Kodi, it doesn't? So, can you just repeat your tests and post that Kodi log so I can see what the difference is. :)

Ohhh, I understand what you mean now. Ok, can you go to your webclient > select the bluray movie  > scroll at the bottom, you should see the media info. Can you grab a screenshot, and in Kodi (with emby for Kodi), play the bluray content, and post that Kodi log. Thanks. The media info looks like:

I'm not at my computer right now, so I'm unable to check your logs. If you have play from http enabled, then it should direct stream, unless you have set a really low video quality in the add-on settings. I'll be able to check your log in an hour or so.

but if i disable "play from http" the same Bluray folder play fine

play from HTTP is direct stream 2 right, or not?

Without the option enabled, it is direct playing. Check your emby dashboard while playing the bluray in Kodi. You'll see if it's direct streaming or transcoding the play from http enabled.

yea it is transcoding if i select play from http, can i ask you a favor, the only reason that i have play from http enable is because 2 folders are give me problem whit Path substitutions, can i upload the Path substitutions log to this topic so you can take look or do i need to create a new topic, and btw did you check my log?

thanks in advance

Sure, post your path substitution here. I'm currently checking your logs. Yeah, transcoding is automatically set to use h264 and ac3 audio, that's why you are not getting truehd. From the lack of logging, I'm assuming the emby server marks the bluray as "unable to direct stream", hence why it's transcoding.

It says it's unable to find the file at this location: nfs://192.168.1.103/TV Series/Shameless (US)/Season4/S04E02.mkv

If you go to add-ons > install from zip > and navigate to where your content is located (via nfs protocol), does Kodi has access? Let me know.

You could just compare. As in, go to add-ons > install from zip > navigate via NFS and take note of the folders you open to get to your content (especially the first folders, make sure they are part of your path substitution)

With your last log: nfs://192.168.1.103/TV Series/Shameless (US)/Season4/S04E02.mkv

So you were missing Volume1....

Can you post a new Kodi log since you modified the path substitution? Thanks :)
