How does MB3 deal with offline files\collections?

Hi,

 

Been a bit since I posted as I am still grieving the loss of most of my tech that supported my MB3 server.

 

As a very temporary measure I will be hooking up a 4-bay USB 3.0 caddy to my system so I can have access to some of my movies and my question is about swapping drives in and out of the caddy.

 

If I were to load it up with 4 drives, fire up MB3 server, let the scan finish, then shut down MB3 server and swap out one of the drives, fire up MB3 server and let the scan finish, what would happen to the movies that were added to the library from the hard drive that has now been swapped out? I have read that the Play button will simply be disabled, but is there a time limit on this or anything in terms of if the drive is not put back in "x" days the movies will no longer show up?

 

Please assume that I have set up the sharing and collections correctly for the drives that will be present and swapped in and out of the caddy.
