Completed [Bug] Enable AAC Transcoding to Dolby: true = everything transcoded to Dolby

Issue description:

Use following settings in my Emby app for a long time:

Enable Dolby Digital Playback: true

Enable DTS Playback: true

Enable AAC Transcoding to Dolby: true

 

AVR connected to Optical Out from TV.

 

Whenever Enable AAC Transcoding to Dolby is set to true, every audio stream is transcoded to ac3, even ac3 as source.

 

 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Set Enable AAC Transcoding to Dolby to false and play e.g a DTS movie -> Direct Play with DTS sound

2. Set Enable AAC Transcoding to Dolby to true and play the same DTS movie -> Audio Transcoding to AC3 and therefore just 2.0 Audio on my AVR

 

 

My TV/HTS/BD Player model number:

UE55H6270

 

 

My firmware version:

2800

 

 

Other TVs etc. the issue has been reproduced on:

cannot test on another device

 

My Emby server version:

Dev 3.0.5886.37598

 

 

My current Emby Samsung client version:

2.1.0e

 

 

Other Emby Samsung versions the issue can be reproduced in:

2.1.0d also has this bug. In 2.1.0c it's not happening. For sure is has something to do with this one: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/30082-audio-transcoding-to-dolby-doesnt-work-output-is-just-acc-although-enable-aac-transcoding-to-dolby-is-set-true/

 

 

Supporting information to include logs and pictures where applicable:

- logs attached from Server and a few transcoding logs from 2.1.0e and one from 2.1.0d

- screenshots of 2.1.0e and 2.1.0c App log with Audio transcoding when Enable AAC Transcoding to Dolby: true as comparison
