Paid App on Amazon

How do you pay for the app on Amazon. It says the app is free, when I try to watch something, it doesn't give me the option of paying for the app. It just says that I need to buy a premiere subscription. I'm more than happy to pay for the app, but I don't need a premiere subscription.

It should give you both the option to unlock the single app and there subscription. Is it not offering the unlock option?

If you're seeing that then there must be a failure to connect to the app store. After all store services enabled and are you currently signed into the amazon store?

Yeah, I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it a few times from the appstore. I try again and make sure it's gone from all profiles.

I've removed emby completely from all profiles, rebooted and reinstalled from the Appstore. Still same error. Have you considered just putting the paid app directly on the appstore instead of in app purchase?

No because paid apps are a death sentence nowadays users don't even browse that section of the store

The Fire TV app and the mobile app are two different apps so their single app unlock purchases aren't tied together.  This is one of the reasons we have the Emby Premiere option - that will cover both of them.

 

As for your actual playback problem now, that isn't related to any app purchase so I would open a new topic with relevant details.  Thanks.

I am getting this issue as well on both a Fire HD 2 gen and a 5th gen Fire. I bought the app for my Android devices and it works great but I do not get an option to buy it on either of the Kindles. I will see if I post the logs for you.

Did you pull up the unlock screen during that time?

I did pull up the unlock screen in the app on my last log. Basically I started the app, picked something to play and then it went to the unlock screen with no option to pay. I clicked the play one minute option and then closed the app and pulled the log.
