Some movies won't play on chromecast

Hi!

 

Sometimes when i want to wacht a movie on my tv with the android app and chromecast. I doesn't work. 

The screen is black and doesn't show anything. It's only on a few movies and always the same, so it is not random. But when i don't cast to my chromecast and watch the movie on my phone the movies will work. 

What can be the problem?

Do you have embedded subtitles which need to be extracted before playback starts?

 

Please post MediaInfo of the File or Server and transcoding logs (in Emby Server directory).

But i think they have embedded subtitles, so downloading a other version without subtitles is the solution to my problem i think?

The best solution for the devs would be a whole log so that they have the chance to identify the problem further and perhaps fix it on Server side.

Server version is 3.0.5724.6. But i am running emby on a qnap nas. How can i update my server to the latest version?

If I send it to chromecast from the web client on PC it works.

First you want to update to the latest version of the server. It's not in the QNap catalog yet, but it's in the QNap forums

Updated to the latest version. 

Reinstalled emby server and really liked to see which episodes are missing from a tv serie. But i won't show any missing episodes or upcoming episodes. Turned the setting to show it on and meta data  is automatic downloading.
