dannieboiz 13
Does it do DD and DTS? what's the browsing experience like on Roku vs Classic on an HTPC
dnicks 25
as far as browsing experience, with Roku you won't get all the extra stuff like logos or fanart (yet), but you do get covers and some metadata. I think Roku is being updated so in the future building an app will be easier. at that time emby should be able to include many more options. the Roku experience has a seriously high WAF. it's simple and fast. if you're going for something that looks beautiful stick with htpc. if you want ease of use, choose roku. ebr 14903
Or get both with an Android or Fire TV .
mjktg99 34
I get dd and dts passthrough. But that is going to depend on your other hardware being able to handle it. My main tv can do dd no problem but I get no audio with dts unless my receiver is on. On my bedroom tv, it forces transcoding to aac 2 channel. However the nvidia shield direct plays everything on that same tv.
