LehighBri 19
I have a HDHomeRun Extend tuner setup using ServerWMC. All channels I have stream and record just fine from within the WMC UI. All channels record just fine using Emby's ServerWMC plugin. The issue I have though is playing live TV. I can get live TV to work for all channels except for CBS for some reason (this is an issue in both the web UI as well as on my Roku where when I try to play, nothing happens). Playing CBS via live TV works just fine in WMC. Any reason for this? Is there a way I can debug further? Not sure what's so special about this one channel (which isn't DRM encrypted or anything) when all other channels stream live TV just fine. Appreciate any help! LehighBri 19
Hi, in order to best help you, please see how to report a problem. Thanks. Sure, here goes. I go to the Guide in Chrome, click Play on ABC (WPVIDT, channel 6.1) and it plays back just fine. Then seconds later, I go to CBS (KYWTV, channel 3.1) and click Play but it just sits at a black screen and nothing streams back. Luke 36878
And the transcoding log?
LehighBri 19
And the transcoding log? Sure... see below for both (one for the channel that works, one for the channel that doesn't). http://pastebin.com/8j98tdzX and http://pastebin.com/LdNRzLqf
Luke 36878
See if these url's work by punching them into vlc http://192.168.1.7:5004/auto/v65.1143?transcode=heavy http://192.168.1.7:5004/auto/v6.1?transcode=heavy
LehighBri 19
See if these url's work by punching them into vlc http://192.168.1.7:5004/auto/v65.1143?transcode=heavy http://192.168.1.7:5004/auto/v6.1?transcode=heavy Sure. WORKS: http://192.168.1.7:5004/auto/v6.1?transcode=heavy DOES NOT WORK: http://192.168.1.7:5004/auto/v65.1143?transcode=heavy For this one I get "Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://192.168.1.7:5004/auto/v65.1143?transcode=heavy'.Check the log for details." EDIT: I looked into this more. In HDHomeRun's setup (see below), it looks like the URLs Emby has pull in the guide number (for the channel that works), BUT then it pulls in the "Tune" # (65.1143) for the channel that doesn't (when it really should pull in 3.1 to work which works fine). So KYW-TV doesn't work, and WPVI-HD does work. Any reason why Emby has the wrong URL to the channel? Edited January 2, 2016 by LehighBri
Luke 36878
I don't know, we get the stream url from this api: {0}//lineup.json substitiue {0} with your hdhr ip address

I don't see any mention of 65.1143 so very odd on why that's happening. http://pastebin.com/FjAhafS4 Edited January 3, 2016 by LehighBri
LehighBri 19
While you look at the lineup.json file, I was thinking more about this and why is transcoding even involved... shouldn't this direct play? The HDHomeRun Extend transcode profile of "heavy" that I"m using outputs to H.264/AVC... and I thought the Roku supports H.264/AVC... so any reason why Emby isn't allowing it to support direct play? If this isn't supported today, is this an enhancement that could be made somehow?
