Hello guys, it could be that my question sounds stupid but I am wondering if Fanarts like for example genre fanart, or category (movies) fanarts could be used in Emby Theater.

My setup is server running on FreeNas and Emby Theater on (windows 7) HTPC. I tried to upload some fanarts but it seems in Emby Theter it doesn't make any sense. If I could use these funarts, shall i switch to Media Browser Classic through WMC or to web client?

Yes, Emby Theater displays images of various types.  If it's not working for you you should post in the forum for that client.

Hello, my Emby theater normally shows all pictures, backdrops, covers etc etc but I am talking about for example Genre fanarts, in Emby Theater application only, for Windows. And here, as far as I understand, these fanarts are not possible to use, correct?

I am talking about this view and all subviews, for Genres, Categories fanarts. Or am I wrong?

No, the layout used in theater doesn't display genre images.  When you click Genres under movies the genre names are text groupings at the top of the screen.  There isn't anywhere to display such images.  You see sets of movie posters.

Not all clients have a use for all images.  You can post in the relevant client forum if you think something isn't working correctly.  In your screenshot you don't have proper movie poster images.  If you don't have them at all due to a scraping issue you should post in the server forum.  If they display in the web ui but not theater you should post in the theater forum.

Hi, now all clear. The screenshot is not from my Emby but I took it from google. Mine works fine fortunately. But I love these Genres and others fanarts so I will switch most probably to Emby Classic and see as contributor which Theme is the best to use :) Thank you and Happy New Year!
