Just a heads up really; if you have any of the Mi.lights, Easybulb or LimitlessLed wifi bulbs, you can now set them to dim when you play a movie and/or tv show in Kodi.

Obviously it works fine with the Emby for Kodi plugin, and it's pretty cool to have the lights dim automatically and come up again when you hit stop/when the media stops. Just thought I'd let folks know here incase they were interested :)

Check this one out too!

I tried the kodi plugin today and it works but you need a separate bridge by the looks of things, it set all the bulbs off in my house rather than just the lamp I stuck behind the telly to try it out.

Video of it in action on a game setup.

Yeah, I had the same problem with that one, and with the windows app. Reverting back to a previous version of the app stopped the issue, but removed the Zones feature. I am keeping an eye on it though, it shows a lot of potential (as a win app) for my personal use.

Mookfist updated his plugin, and I have to say the dimming is much smoother/faster than previous, you can select if you want it to act on movies and/or tv shows, so I'm quite happy with it.

More of a novelty for me really. I'm thinking of getting one of the new v5 bridges so could potentially dedicate my old bridge to this.

The mookfist one doesn't seem to work properly for me, but I am using an Android device.
