Pitchshift 13
Installed on Amazon Fire Stick Emby Server: Version 3.0.5781.1 Kodi Version: 15.2 Emby Kodi Addon Version: 1.1.39 Please can someone help? I'm tearing my hair out with trying to get Emby set up. I had it all working with my library synced then suddenly I've been unable to connect to my Emby server via the Kodi addon. I have tried resetting the database in the plugin, uninstalling and removing the addon appdata folder; all to no avail. I can connect to the server fine using the web app and android app from my phone. xnappo 1593
Hmm- do you have the server set to only work with https or something? Here is where it is trying to go and failing: http://192.168.1.20:8096/mediabrowser/Users/Public?format=json That should work in a web browser. Pitchshift 13
I've not configured the server to https unless it's like that by default. I can access that link fine on my home network. Edited November 10, 2015 by Pitchshift

Pitchshift 13
I've just installed a fresh version of Kodi onto my Android phone, then installed Emby plugin and it has connected straight away. I really don't want to have to start my Kodi install from scratch on my Fire Stick as I've spent hours setting it up. Has anyone got any ideas? Angelblue05 4130
If you leave Kodi running, does it eventually connects you? @@Pitchshift is your fire stick connected to the same network as your server? Pitchshift 13
Nope. Doesn't ever connect. Yes the Fire Stick is on the same network.
xnappo 1593
Maybe as a sanity check try browsing to the Emby DLNA server from Kodi?
Pitchshift 13
I've not tested the connection to Emby via DLNA in Kodi yet as I'm not at home. What I have tried is to connect to the web version of Emby on a different network and I'm getting the error "We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again". I've copied the latest entries of the Emby server event log here: http://xbmclogs.com/p3vtnzstw
Pitchshift 13
Actually, I think that's because I was testing it on my works PC. Working fine using my mobile phone.
Kent 91
Make sure your FireTV Stick can reach Emby, outside of Kodi. Download the Emby app on the Amazon store and see if you can connect that way. If you can, you know it's something mis-configured in Kodi. From there you can troubleshoot based on if it's a FireTV Stick issue or a Kodi issue.
Pitchshift 13
I've installed the Emby app on my Fire Stick and I am unable to find my Emby media server. It seems I am unable to connect to my Fire Stick using adbfire anymore too, or even ping it for that matter. It's definitely on the network as I was able to download the Emby app and install it. So strange that I have lost connection to it.
