Windows 8.1 Store App not connecting to MB server...

I just installed the Media Browser 3 store app for Windows 8.1 and the app is not connecting to my server.  I am running MB server Version 3.0.5083.27698 on port 8096.  It keeps telling me that my Hostname (IP address) is not recognized and I've tried multiple times putting in the correct IP address and also tried using the Hostname itself.  I even uninstalled the media browser theater client just in case of any conflict.  Is this a bug as the app have been release in the Windows app store just approx. 24 hours ago.  I've been using Media Browser for some years now and I'm a bit familiar with the software.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
