Is there a client for Pi?

I was looking at the Pi 3 but it seems a bit overkill to have it as a server. Maybe something like OpenELEC or OSMC with ET as the main media player. Could that be an option in time?

Note: When you access the folder by WinSCP, logged in as User "pi", I can write and delete files in the share .... I need to figure out how to allow Emby save the metadata in the folder. The option of salver metadata in the media folder is already enabled.

My Emby keeps crashing and I am to shut down the raspberry to all back.

I will list my problems:

1 - Emby locking and closing (After a few hours in use)

2 - I can not save the fanart, poster in the movie folder

3 - Whenever the raspberry starts, required the command "sudo mount -a" to mount the units.

Please I need help! Impossible to use Emby this way.

----------------

I tried putting this option in the Share line:

file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777

thus it is:

\\10.1.0.31\Public\WWW\TR-Downloads\Filmes /mnt/FilmesHD3tb/ cifs auto,guest,uid=1000,iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777 0 0

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good news!!!

It seems that the addition of the line solved my fanart writing problem and poster ...

Also trying to view some video files on my PC through browser and it wont play avi or mkv files?  Is there anything I can do other than change the file types?

Webbrowsers can only play MP4 with H264 video and AAC stereo audio

you need to convert your files or use a client (like MB Theater) and setup (SMB) sharing

Information that may be important.

While I'm using Emby, it does not lock ... Only when I close the browser and I'm not moving ....

I will generate more logs, clean and post here.

  Thanks Luke!

note.: If I get 10 hours stirring in Emby it is ok ..... Just 10 hours I forget Emby, go to sleep or spend hours without moving to a crash

Dismissed the raspberry option go to sleep .... It should not be this .... even because the SSH opens normally ...

If you're running any plugins, the first thing to try is removing them and seeing if the issue persists with the core server. Barring that, please see how to report a problem so that we can best help you. Thanks.

@@ChunkyKev,

I have the same problem here.

My Emby overnight is closed. During the day usually works ...... When I go to sleep and wake up he is no longer working, there need to start it again.

I'm turning off some scheduled tasks to see if I can find what is causing the problem.

Detail, all my logs look good!

Check for application updates (*)

Refresh Channels

Chapter image extraction

Clean Database (*)

Download missing subtitles

Convert media

* these are the tasks that I think have great potential break Emby

I'll stay a week with him working and analyze ... After calling back one by one to determine if it really is an activity that breaks it.

@@ChunkyKev,

My 100% Emby, to try to remove something from my library ... I had a crash when trying to remove an empty collection.

Soon I think that catches my Emby is this option:

Clean Database (*)

but I will do more test

It has crashed so often I have lost track.  It was doing it at times within minutes of being started, sometimes a while after.  It happened so often, when not doing anything I think there must be something else to it.  I started a new thread to see if I get any answers, along with server log.

On a post you made on the thread "Emby Server on Raspberry Pi 2" you asked the OP if they had "include[d] x264 when compiling ffmpeg?" Your guide on page 6 of this thread was done after your post on the Emby Server on Raspberry Pi 2 thread. Did you forget to include the instructions to compile x264 into ffmpeg? If so at what point in your guide should we include them?

Also

Access to the path "/mnt/emby_disk/transcoding-temp" is denied.
    System.UnauthorizedAccessException

That's something you'll need to fix. That's emby server trying to write to a path and getting denied by your OS.
