mdybro 0
Hi I can see that there are no solution for Netgear Ready Nas Duo in your list. Since the OS in this NAS server is using Linux OS as firmware, isn´t it possible to find a solution? I have just discovered emby and it is exactly what I have been looking for for a while. muzicman61 0
Just discovered Emby and it's really a great product from what I can see so far. But I'm confused about this product working on my ReadyNAS. I have a DUO and a NV+ but they don't seem to support apps so I'm thinking this really doesn't work on the DUO/NV+. I tried to upload the .deb file and it rejects the image. Did I miss a .bin file available for download? Any clarification would be great. Thanks! Luke 36879
From a quick google search the ReadyNAS Duo appears to be much older, right? It probably won't work then, sorry, my mistake.
muzicman61 0
Thanks for the quick response. Yes, they are quite old but have been incredibly reliable. So given their age, can anyone recommend an upgrade ReadyNAS? Not wanting to spend too much money and prefer to utilize hard drives I already own. Luke 36879
If you're willing to look at other brands there are some synology and qnap models that appear to be a little cheaper and can run emby.
muzicman61 0
Thanks for the info. I'm kind of partial to Netgear as I've been a beta tester for many of their products over the years. Unfortunately I never got to beta test any of their NAS devices.
