Video error with local MP4 file

I am getting an issue when trying to play a video in both the Emby Home and on my Roku 3.  I have attached both my server and transcoding logs.  I can play this video normally with Windows and VLC no problem, however using Emby I get the error.

I tried asking about this in the Emby Theater forum but nobody answered...  Hopefully somebody will help out in here...

Can anyone help with this???

The Emby web client with FireFox 41.0.2

The Video plays fine on the local computer in both WMP & VLC, just not through the Web Client and then not on the Roku...

can you provide a log from an attempt from the roku? also, do you have chrome? it would be useful to know the results from chrome. thanks.

can you paste the media info from the web client? it seems like there's something wrong with that video file. i know you say it plays fine in vlc, but vlc is very resilient and is built to try and recover from bad input files

i'm not really sure right now to be honest. it seems ffmpeg doesn't like that file. when the new release comes out this week you can try that. is it happening with other files?

Only a couple of others, and one of those is .rmvb, and I kinda expect it for that one, I'm just not sure how to repair it so the ffmpeg will work with it.

BTW how do I update ffmpeg easily, I have been to their website and downloaded the newest version, but I'm not sure if I can just copy the files over...

Thanx, for taking a look anyway...

OK, that is what I downloaded before...

I tried replacing just the ffmpeg files:

ffmpeg.exe

ffprobe.exe

No fix, I guess I can wait for the update and try that...

I might try that "remo" .mp4 fixer in the meantime.  Problem is that it only fails in Emby.  Do you have any recommendations for a .rmvb converter?

I tried the one on REAL Media's site, but the new file was almost empty, less than half the size...

I tried using VLC too, and the audio, and video got completely out of sync, and the file length was reporting as about 5 mins...

Thanx again...
