mediaGuy 8
Openelec 5.95.5, CuboxTV, Titan beta skin Since .43 it's been showing an update required but never installs. Today I uninstalled but emby won't install. When I hit install it does nothing. Kodi log shows nothing. When I hit the changelog button I get this: 09:32:43 T:1710191680 ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 404 for http://www.mb3admin.com/downloads/addons/xbmb3c/kodi-beta-repo/plugin.video.emby/changelog-1.1.49.txt09:32:43 T:1710191680 ERROR: Open - failed to open source <http://www.mb3admin.com/downloads/addons/xbmb3c/kodi-beta-repo/plugin.video.emby/changelog-1.1.49.txt> So I know something's going on. Hitting install does nothing with no log?
Angelblue05 4130
Odd, why is it looking for changelog-1.1.49.txt when the file is changelog.txt. Will let you know once this is resolved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Angelblue05 4130
@@mediaGuy Do you still get the issue? I've updated latest to 1.1.50. Let me know, thanks.
mediaGuy 8
Still having the issue - can't install on either CuboxTV. I also set up a NUC on Friday with OE 5.95.5, the initial fresh emby 49 install worked fine. Noticed today it shows the 50 update available but it won't update either. The update button basically does nothing, nothing shows up in the log. Tried changing back to confluence, made no difference. Losing my mind here. Angelblue05 4130
Ok, maybe it expects something different for the changelog? Are you still getting the same type of error in your Kodi log (like in your OP)? I just don't understand why it's looking for changelog-1.1.49.txt... there's no version number attached to the changelog and the kodi wiki ask for changelog.txt.... Edit: Turns out the wiki is not saying everything lol... checking other existing add-ons some will have their changelog with the number appended to it in their repository... Angelblue05 4130
@@mediaGuy Can you try to check for update and updating? Hopefully this time I got it right and it should actually update the emby for kodi add-on. Thanks Edited October 18, 2015 by Angelblue05
mediaGuy 8
The changelog link now works but I still can't install/upgrade on either system. Hitting the install button just returns me to the previous screen, nothing ever downloads.

mediaGuy 8
Cleaned out emby from addons/packages and rebooted, still can't update/install. All other addons update fine. Updating emby on my Windows machine works fine as well. Edited October 18, 2015 by mediaGuy
xnappo 1593
Can you try turning on the Kodi debug logging and post a full log when you try to update?
mediaGuy 8
Just enabled debug and tailed it through SSH. This is all that shows up when I hit the "Update" button (confirmed the KODI.log is the same): 12:10:47 T:140033268438912 DEBUG: LIRC: Update - NEW at 196141:160 0 KEY_OK devinput (KEY_OK)12:10:47 T:140033268438912 DEBUG: OnKey: 11 (0x0b) pressed, action is Select12:10:48 T:140033268438912 DEBUG: LIRC: Update - NEW at 196407:160 0 KEY_OK_UP devinput (KEY_OK_UP)12:10:48 T:140033268438912 DEBUG: ------ Window Deinit (DialogAddonInfo.xml) ------
xnappo 1593
There is no info in those lines obviously. Please post the full log. Otherwise, you can try installing it manually through Git.

xnappo 1593
See 'How to report a problem' thread, or just put it on pastebin. I don't know what I am looking for.
mediaGuy 8
Log attached, I made it a little smaller by doing a clean reboot and directly trying the upgrade (failed) then grabbing the log. I covered up my advanced settings passwords - please delete if there more I missed. ----------------------------- Edit, I removed my attachment. Playing around I just installed the live 1.0.2 (used to only have beta 1.0.4). As soon as I did everything updated fine? Angelblue05 4130
I saw your log, it failed on the same point: 12:08:41 T:140032064280320 DEBUG: FileManager: copy http://www.mb3admin.com/downloads/addons/xbmb3c/kodi-beta-repo/plugin.video.emby/changelog-1.1.51.txt -> special://temp/changelog-1.1.51.txt 12:08:41 T:140032064280320 DEBUG: CFileCache::Open - opening <downloads/addons/xbmb3c/kodi-beta-repo/plugin.video.emby/changelog-1.1.51.txt> using cache 12:08:41 T:140032064280320 DEBUG: CurlFile::Open(0x7f5bb0001bb0) http://www.mb3admin.com/downloads/addons/xbmb3c/kodi-beta-repo/plugin.video.emby/changelog-1.1.51.txt 12:08:41 T:140032064280320 ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 404 for http://www.mb3admin.com/downloads/addons/xbmb3c/kodi-beta-repo/plugin.video.emby/changelog-1.1.51.txt 12:08:41 T:140032064280320 ERROR: Open - failed to open source <http://www.mb3admin.com/downloads/addons/xbmb3c/kodi-beta-repo/plugin.video.emby/changelog-1.1.51.txt> I didn't see im85288 made a build 11 hours ago and the changelog I added was erased, causing this error again. Angelblue05 4130
@@mediaGuy Your edit, you installed stable Emby repository and the beta version of the add-on then updated? Is that what you are saying?
mediaGuy 8
Yes, very bizarre. As soon as I installed the stable repo (left the beta installed), emby immediately updated to 51. This was repeatable on all three machines (2x CuboxTV, 1 NUC), all OE 5.95.
Angelblue05 4130
Very odd... Well if it happens again, please provide another kodi debug log so we can ensure this doesn't happen again and see the actual error. You should not need to install stable repository to get the beta version of the add-on to install. You can have both repository installed, or either one, because they don't depend on each other...
