pcgirl 4 Posted October 1, 2015 Share Posted October 1, 2015 I have installed the emby server on my Unraid system and I am installing the latest kodi on my devices with the emby plugin. If I want everything to sync up with all my devices do I install the trakt plugin on kodi or on embyserver? Also, how does this work with different users? Angelblue05 4130 Posted October 1, 2015 Share Posted October 1, 2015 The playstate is held in your Emby server. Every emby user have their own playstate on the server. So when you install the add-on, you pick the Emby user you want to sync to the Kodi profile, and it will keep your playstate in sync between the Kodi profile and your Emby server (user). If you want to use trakt, you will put it on your server. The mentality here is that your emby server is your centralized database for your metadata and watched status. pcgirl 4 Posted October 1, 2015 Author Share Posted October 1, 2015 OK, so I just needed trakt to get my watched states imported when I set up the emby server and now I can delete the plugin? If you want to import your playstate into Emby from Kodi when first setting up, you can use Trakt to sync your playstate to trakt and on the emby server, once your content is added, you can import your trakt playstate and your watched status will be applied to your content. Yikes, let me rephrase. Steps: 1. Before anything, sync your playstate from Kodi to Trakt with the help of the Trakt add-on. 2. In emby server, add your content. 3.
