Should Movie BoxSets work in Kodi?

I have 83 listed under Sets, but when I enter into one, there are no movies listed.

All work OK in the web client.

Thanks.

I am using Kodi v15.1 with the Xperience1080 skin. Emby add-on for Kodi is version 1.1.35 beta. Auto boxset plug-in version is 1.0.0.7

Seems there are two ways I can access the sets.

Movies -> Videos -> Movies (Without the Emby icon) -> Sets

or

Movies -> Videos -> Movies (With the Emby icon) -> Sets

It then lists the Sets or Movie Collections and if I go in to some of the collections the movies within can be seen OK.

If I switch to the default Kodi skin Confluence then on the Movies main menu, I can see Sets on the sub-menu below and that works OK as well.

I think I modified the Xperience1080 skins movies sub-menu and took Sets off it and replaced it with some other things.

I'm using Kodi 15.1 with the Mimic skin.

I will try an alternative skin to see if it looks different.

Try switching back to Confluence you should see the sets on the movies sub-menu.

I see the Sets, but most are empty.

When I enter some (of the 83) they do have a movie in then, but most don't.

I just checked all of my sets in Kodi and they all seem to have movies in them.

You say its working fine in the Emby web GUI though? For collections.

In the Emby Server - Manage Server - Plugins - Auto Boxset - Settings

In "Create BoxSets only if I have at least this many of its movies" I have 2 entered in here.

Have you tried running the "Refresh Boxsets button in the plug-in settings?

Other than that I am not sure sorry.

All though I have just seen one issue.

Emby Web GUI

Two movies in this collection:

Yet in Kodi I only see one movie in this collection

Here is another one

Emby Web GUI - There are 6 titles in the collection

In Kodi I see only 1 title in the collection

There is 192 boxsets and these are the only two that seem to have some issues, as I said all the rest are there and contain movies within them.

Last resort you could try resetting the local DB in the Emby add-on and letting it sync everything again.

True, but looks like you are having a similar issue.

Sorry mate kinda hi-jacking your thread now but I see something here regarding these two sets that have missing movies in them.

In Kodi if I go to:

MOVIES -> VIDEOS

I see two lots of items some with Emby icons and some without them. As in this screen shot

If I select the MOVIES with the Emby icon and go to sets, then these two sets I just posted screen shots for above, have missing movie titles.

However if instead I select MOVIES without the Emby icon and go to sets and go in to those two particular movie sets, then all their movie titles are displayed OK. As you can see in these screen shots.

So something funky going on with it!

If I switch the Kodi skin back to Confluence and go to Sets from the Movies sub-menu and then go in to these two particular movie sets, then they both show all their movie titles OK.

So seems to be related in my case to the Xperience1080 skin and which way I access the sets from.

Takes me to here:

Clicking on MOVIES with the Emby icon I then go here and can see SETS

Or instead I can select MOVIES without the Emby icon and then I go here and can also see SETS:

Confused? I am LOL.

OK, this is strange, so must be a configuration issue, but the BoxSets on my Fire TV are fully populated.

Only difference I can see, is that my Nexus Player is running Kodi 15.2 and the Fire TV is running Kodi 15.1.

I'll double check again in the morning.

Try to do a manual sync by launching Emby add-on > manual sync and see if that makes them appear.

I'll try that.

Small point, but when the BoxSets sync runs, it says “X of 84', but I only have 83 and only 83 are listed in the Sets view and the web client.

Kodi log for reference.

Because that's how it's always been lol... I don't know why, never really bothered me, but that's how it was coded by marcelveldt when he wrote the syncing section of the code.

I've reset the Kodi database and all BoxSets are showing as they should.

Excellent I thought that might do the trick!
