Good afternoon guys

Firstly, thank you for the emby.kodi work, it's definitely my preferred way forward :-)

Some help if you don't mind?

With reference to http://xbmclogs.com/pq10enut4 I can't get music playback to work on my Nexus Player (movies work fine)

This was working about a month ago on earlier server/addon versions.

All is working on my windows 10 NUCs

I'm not sure if it is something I have messed up but have rebuilt the NP in case but no change.

Thanks in advance

Hey sorry, I totally missed your post. For the music playback, could you enable kodi debug as well, and post that log. I think we will need more information to know why it's failing.

Angelblue05, thanks for taking a look at this for me.

My updated log can be found at http://xbmclogs.com/plmiasvjd

Hopefully this will save you time...

   - Line 594 show the movie Ace Ventura playing with http enabled

   - Line 1195 I'm getting a SMB permission "denied for waitin on you.mp3"

I have assumed that music would also play over http??

Thanks
Dave

Music works differently than the video library. We can't use plugin paths to go from direct playing to streaming for example. The only way to get direct streaming for music is if you enable the option in add-on settings first and rescan your library in. With the direct stream option for music enabled, it will insert http links to your music via emby, instead of the direct path to your music. This means you'll be streaming your music at all times, but you'll be able to listen to it outside your network as well.

That is the only way to have it work. So currently in your database you have the direct path to music, hence why it's not working outside your network. You will need to enable the option under sync options in the add-on settings and rescan your library in.

Because music does not allow us to use plugin paths, we don't have that flexibility like we do for video library. The only way around it would be to build the music library via add-on directories, like channels.
