AmericanCrisis 28 Posted August 10, 2015 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Yesterday the Emby app was crashing so I uninstalled it, restarted my laptop and then re-installed the app via the Windows store. Now when I open the app it just hangs (thinks). I went into settings and logs but there are no logs being generated. Furthermore, when I go into sync the whole app crashes (closes). The exact same thing is happening on my friends laptop too. His is a fresh install of Windows 10 that has not had the Emby app previously installed. This kind of stinks considering we both paid for the app to use the sync feature. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The app hangs when we open it... the wheel turns and I am still able to get into settings but then it just sits there and thinks. I'll look for the log now. The logs appear when selecting sync crashes the program. Groove has english text. In the MS profile section "view basic information about your account" at the bottom it states: (English) United States but the region is Australia. The app is installed on a fresh install of windows 10 that I had to do because of problems purchasing the app after the upgrade. It is running on the server so I ran Windows8LoopbackManager.exe, checked Emby and clicked save. I have disabled my anti-virus kaspersky and the windows firewall but this did not help. Sometimes when I view the logs another menu item appears - app commands. When this is selected a menu item home is available. When pressed the app crashes but there is no log. I uninstalled and redownloaded the app and this did not help. I uninstalled, ran wsreset and reinstalled and this also did not help. I deleted: %appdata%\..\Local\Packages\436337Illusions.com.MediaBrowser_77hd5e1v1hqs4\LocalState\_sessionState.xml and the folder %appdata%\..\Local\Packages\436337Illusions.com.MediaBrowser_77hd5e1v1hqs4\LocalState\configuration And the problem persisted. My home one is working (minus some video failed to play errors). My laptop at work, wont even bring me to a sign in screen. Just the logo and spinning circle like above..
