Blueeyiz702 216
I noticed on Kodi there is a plugin that recently was released called WWEN,Im wondering is there a way to develope something similar for Emby based off this? The only requirement is having a membership to the WWE network, and from what i read it works very well.Just thought id throw the idea out there for you developers,if i had the skill and knowledge it takes id do it,but i dont.So maybe someone might pick up on idea and run with it thanks.
ebr 14910
It depends on how it is doing it. If WWE allows this type of access and has an API for it, then, yes it could be done. If, instead, this plug-in is employing web-scraping or other techniques to determine the proper information and find the feeds, then, no.
Angelblue05 4130
No way it is web scraping, it's illegal, Kodi bans that kind of add-ons. I believe it's legit and you need a subscription to even gain access. As to how it works, I'm not sure, but if it was doing anything illegal, the thread would mention it. This is the thread: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=233467 No its not illegal.its posted in the kodi forums hopefully you guys take a look and see what you can come up with. Angelblue05,since your developer are you going to take a crack at it or pass along to the rite people at emby? And yes you do need a subcription to the wwe networks for it to work properly.Ebr,from reading the thread its doing good in its infancy, and had few minor issues but nothing anyone has complained off,so it would be great to have this as a plugin, and a legit one as well Edited August 10, 2015 by blueeyiz7021
Angelblue05 4130
The Emby for Kodi add-on is taking up all of my time unfortunately. Plus as a server plugin, it would need to be written in C# which I do not know. Hopefully if there's a demand for it, someone will step up and check it out. I guess only time will tell
