danmed 1
I'm running the latest stable openelec on an Rpi2. I'm using the latest stable Kodi plugin (1.0) and the server component is running on Windows. Everything is brilliant however i have 1 niggle.. I like to control my Genre's for each movie and so i spent a long time reducing them all to 1 (i know there is a plugin but i have the files manually sorted in to folders so i wanted them to reflect the folder names). If i remove X number of Genre's and then add a new one.. the library's on the Pi's are updated pretty quickly and there it is in the new genre.. however it doesn't ever remove it from the old Genre (kodi end) Emby server is looking nice and neat but the local DB is left a mess... Any suggestions? Edit : Just as a note, if i do a full clear and re-sync of the DB on KODI, then it sorts itself out.. but that's obviously not ideal.. I have to edit the metadata once Emby has already added it to the kodi library (as it's so awesomely quick ) so every time i'd have to destroy the DB and full sync it. PhilWhite 64
If I remember correctly once I set all the genres the way I wanted in Emby and performed a full resync everything sorted itself out. I'm afraid I don't know how to do it without a full resync. It may have taken a couple of tries too; bothered me as well. Checked with full resync. At least on my system that works. The previous genres that I didn't want are gone leaving only the ones I wanted. May not be ideal but full resync is, I think, the only way to do it. ETA: So, is the issue what happens when you add new media? You shouldn't have to repeat the full resync. My advice would be to turn off auto Library scan, set your genre however you wish when you add new media and then scan the Library. Everything should go where you want it to. That may also not be ideal since you lose auto Library updates, but that feature is a bit buggy at times anyway, at least for some platforms. I had to turn it off and everything is rock solid stable now. Edited July 1, 2015 by PhilWhite

danmed 1
Hi, i can see this has now been marked as "completed - clean up branch" on Trello... Is this branch for the server end or the Kodi addon? Is there a way to now move to that branch or should i wait until it hits the main branch?
Angelblue05 4130
I would suggest for you to wait before trying to grab the clean up branch since we are still cleaning up the code. However if you really don't want to wait, you can get the zip off our github branch "clean up" and install the zip in Kodi.
