JDizzy 21
I scanned my music into MBT last night and let it work overninght. I am using MBT on a Windows 8 machine and using the MB3 Beta updates. I can play MP3 files but for some reason my FLAC files will not play. The FLAC files make some chirping sounds but seem to be jumping around. Trying to figure out if I am missing a codec or if MBT related. Any other player I use will handle the files fine. JDizzy 21
Bump... Any update in the works to allow the playing of flac formatted music with MB Theater? Playlist addition would be great also! I noticed on webclient that flac will play and also that there were options for shuffle, instant mix etc. Really would be handy in the Theater module. Thanks
Luke 36887
flac plays just fine. you may have to review your lav filter/audio settings
Solution Brendon 100 Posted December 29, 2013 Solution Share Posted December 29, 2013 I use Shark's 007 codec's and they work just fine for .flac in MBT and it even reads the tags, had a lot of trouble getting MB2 to do that. Only done testing though and haven't added the whole library as MBT still can't do much on the music side, everything has played fine to date, although the WebUI will transcode them so i stopped using that for music.
Tanamur 53
I just installed MBT with the default LAV filter settings for the first time yesterday. I had no other codec packs installed other than out of the box Win7 64-bit and MB3 Server. My FLAC music library played fine in MB3 Web Client before the MBT install and is playing nicely in MBT after the install. Hope this provides a reference install.
