jj12345 25
I'm still getting crashes as well... DLNA was already off but I removed the Media Server Live TV plugin which did not appear to help. With each crash I'm going to remove 1-2 plug ins to see if any of them turn out to be the culprit. Then I'm going to buy a Amazon Fire TV or something. I just can't keep spending my days "fixing" the TV for the kids. BubbaBlades 0
I have been having the same problem for several weeks. DLNA was already off and I never installed the ServerWMC App. With my server is seams to lockup randomly and only when there are multiple Roku's streaming. I never have a problem when there is only one Roku streaming. If I notice that it has locked up on mine and reset the server fast enough the other Roku never drops. I can tell sometimes when the EMBY server is going to lockup because I lose sound a few seconds before the Roku goes back to the Home Screen. I was begging to wonder if it might be something to do with the fact that my install of EMBY is an automatic update from when it was MediaBrowser and if doing a Clean install of EMBY would fix the problem but I have not tried that yet. skidmarks 188
I am with all of you! I had already formatted my computer 3 times to try and resolve the Roku issues. It did not resolve it! Clean install. I installed the DEV version and the log ran clean on the Roku. It had no errors right up until it reboots itself. Is anyone running theme music? I noticed in active devices window that my roku window switches between song1 (the name inside theme-music folder) and the actual episode I am watching continuously (in the status box). Wondering if that is normal? I am going to post both server log and roku log today. I was frustrated after testing my server hardware all day and not finding a hardware issue... jj12345 25
@@Luke - yes during playback. The Roku Emby app will stop and return to the Roku channel selection screen (or on occasion the Roku device reboots itself). When that happens the Emby server is unresponsive on any client (e.g. the built in web client won't load, etc.) and I cannot stop the Emby service. I have to end the task and then start the service for anything to work.
mediacowboy 438
Seeing the same thing as jj12345. I currently don't have logs as I have not been home to actually witness this to grab logs. The wife and kids are the one's reporting it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Luke 36881
I am working on a change to the roku app. Please start by grabbing the dev server and then i'll have the app update up shortly. Note that the dev server by nature may have other changes and problems that are a work in-progress. thanks.
Luke 36881
And I've also pushed an update to the zip installation. Please try that and let me know if it improves the situation at all. Instructions on how to get that are here: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/8001-emby-for-roku-channel/
skidmarks 188
I ran the last release of the DEV and played 3 TV shows back to back this afternoon. Wanted to upload the server & roku logs. Never crashed once. I just loaded this latest version and will see what happens. THANKS for your help on this one!
jj12345 25
I can't seem to update to dev. I've changed my auto update level to dev. Shut down the service and ran the tray app so I had a download update option and it says it installed and when choosing to restart i see in task manager emby shut down and an updater console app run very briefly but emby never restarts and when i restart it manually it's running the release version. Recent activity says it's been updated but the version number disagrees and suggests that I install the update again. I've done this 3 times with the same results. The web site only has download links for production and beta. Is there a direct link where I can download dev from and install it manually? Luke 36881
the change to the app was more important than the change to the server, so you can just test with the server you already have.
skidmarks 188
OK Luke here we go... I have a Roku Dev Log and a Server Beta Log. The server stopped keeping time code for the episode I was watching@ 8min 30 sec. I watched that in the Active Devices thumb for the Roku Stream. Roku played for about 5 to 6 more minutes before it crashed and did a reboot. As I mentioned I have a theme-music folder and the Active Devices thumb would change back and forth between the episode name and playing Song1. Just a tidbit, just in case it is related. Roku Log has no errors, but did notice the same time the server stopped the roku log paused for a few seconds then started again. The server web client was froze so I had to finally use end task. 6/24 10:23AM ***Son had friends over last night and they ran the server all of last night and into today with the ie client on XBOX1. They did not have any issues.*** Edited June 24, 2015 by skidmarks

radeon 677
I don't want to speak too soon, but I've been running the new dev EmbyS and the new Roku client on 6 Now TV boxes without a single crash since the 2.09 build you originally put up. That said, I didn't have a crash for this long after disabling DLNA, which was clearly a red herring. I'd give it a couple more days before putting this down as solved! jj12345 25
Is anyone still having this problem? I mitigated the issue by putting an Amazon Fire on our main TV but I still see this problem on the other TVs with server 3.0.5667.6 and Roku client 2.09. TeamBaskin 0
I'm having this issue badly right now - I can't get through a single show. At some point in each show, it stops, says checking connection, then goes back to the show's start screen. When I press resume, it starts to load but gets hung up and either freezes or boots me out of emby completely. I've reinstalled, done everything - and I just can't figure this out.
