Live stream only last for a few minutes at a time

I haven't had a ton of time to try this out, but I have tried on the web client, fire tv stick and the android client and I can't get a live TV stream to last for more than 3-5 minutes at a time and I'm not sure why. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there any known fix? Let me know if there is a log I can provide that would help (is it in the server log or somewhere else?) identify any problems. Thanks!

i think they are dlna capable but i'm not 100% sure - i am using a couple of ceton 4 infinitv cards. i didn't have the emby server logging turned on so i don't have that but if this doesn't help and you need it, let me know and i can do another test with logging on. here is the serverwmc log:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/472290/ServerWMC.log

my test started watching hgtv at 15:22 using FireTV stick and i didn't close the stream, it just died.

i then watched CSNNE at 15:37 and the same thing happened.

i looked at the other thread and i do have "remux active recordings" checked in the recordings tab - i'll try unchecking it. i tried the http thing before and it didn't seem to have any affect on things.

let me know if the log tells you anything. thanks!

The log just shows that emby is closing the live streams, other than that I don't see any errors.  The 'remux active recordings' thing only effects watching shows while they are recording, it has nothing to do with live-tv streams.  Also, your ceton tuners do not do dlna - so that's not an option.

Are you sure you enabled the http service fix correctly?  The service needs to be enabled and you need to check the setting that tells emby to use it for live streams.  Try doing it again and then send me the log after a live stream quits early with this mode running.

No I'm not - I just checked the enable http service box - where is the setting that tells emby to use it for live streams?

It on the same page below where you enable the http serverice.  You want to check where it says:

Use URLs instead of SMB/UNC paths for MediaBrowser-server.

It seems to be working better so far.

One other issue - my recordings play with sound but no video - should I turn the remuxing on?

Usually when this happens its because you are missing a codec.  What is the client?
