pr3dict 33
All of a sudden the other day, the live tv channels were missing from my roku and on the webapp they are missing as well... I can click on live tv but on roku it says the content is empty and on the web app it is just empty, no channels listed... Any ideas?

krustyreturns 191
Does it show that it is transferring guide data and stuff to emby on its 'Status' tab?
pr3dict 33
Status is: "Ok"
krustyreturns 191
I'm not referring to the status in the mbs side, its the status window on the swmc gui I am asking about. It shows how many guide entries and channels are transferred to the mbs client. I want to know if the problem is in mbs or swmc.
pr3dict 33
I think I see waht you are referring to...
krustyreturns 191
Weird. Please restart swmc then mbs. After mbs connects to it, wait a couple of minutes, then post the swmc log (go to the debug tab in the swmc gui).

krustyreturns 191
Have you tried rebooting your swmc machine?
pr3dict 33
nope I wanted to do that as a last resort because every time I restart I have to share my media folders again because the advanced sharing settings don't stick after restart for some reason
krustyreturns 191
Well as you can see all of your channels are now being reported as drm'd (copy_once). Usually its because the drivers are stuck in a weird state and are reporting the drm of the channels incorrectly, and so far I have not found a way to reset them except for reboot. You could try running wmc and see if it detects the problem and resets the driver. Anyway, lets hope that's the reason. The other reason this can happen is far less pleasant. pr3dict 33
Soooooooo, serverwmc crashed and i had to restart it and the same issue happened. it didnt load the channels. I tried killing both the emby server and wmcserver to no avail. any ideas?
pr3dict 33
bump. This is happening still. Every once and awhile I open up the roku to use the live tv function and all the channels are missing. Then I try the web portal and they are missing also... It seems that emby is not trying to talk to serverwmc as it is always waiting for the request. I think this may have something to do with it: 2015/06/03 01:29:09.498 Received client request: MediaBrowser^@PR3DICT-SERVER@|::1|GetChannels 2015/06/03 01:29:09.518 GetChannels> DRM channel found: WCBS/2 drm: PROT_COPY_ONCE 2015/06/03 01:29:09.518 GetChannels> DRM channel found: WJLPSD/3 drm: PROT_COPY_ONCE 2015/06/03 01:29:09.523 GetChannels> DRM channel found: WNBC/4 drm: PROT_COPY_ONCE 2015/06/03 01:29:09.523 GetChannels> DRM channel found: WNYW/5 drm: PROT_COPY_ONCE 2015/06/03 01:29:09.523 GetChannels> DRM channel found: WRNNDT/6 drm: PROT_COPY_ONCE 2015/06/03 01:29:11.455 GetChannels> DRM channels found message repeated 768 times. 2015/06/03 01:29:11.455 Finished request GetChannels in 1.96s Edited June 3, 2015 by pr3dict
Luke 37060
this is going to be improved with the next server release but for now whenever the server starts up fresh you need to allow the refresh guide scheduled task to complete, and then the guide will be populated. pr3dict 33
I think its a serverwmc issue. It looks like every once and awhile it thinks my stuff is copy once and doesnt send it to emby.
JeremyFr79 228
I'm was having a similar issue I found that it had to do with something that must have changed in the last 2 Dev releases, as soon as I rolled back it all worked fine again, not sure what got broken, I posted in the windowsserver forum about it but got no responses as of yet. JeremyFr79 228
for me everything disappeared that had anything to do with livetv did several restarts of both machines, several guide refreshes etc, nothing worked but rolling back the server version. Chuck 17
I was getting the Live TV guide on the Web Client and Amazon Fire TV prior to upgrading to Emby Version 3.0.5641.4 and ServerWMC 1.0.0.58, build: 1199. The Live TV tab Status is showing all tuners available, using Ceton InfiniTV PCIe (4 tuners).
Chuck 17
PS ... I do see shows in What's On in the web client. However, at all quality settings, using the local machine, I'm getting choppy video and sound out of sync.
Chuck 17
PSS ... I stopped the ServerWMC service, then the MediaBrowser service, then restarted both starting with ServerWMC. The guide populated, however, now I'm receiving an error ... There was an error playing the video. Please ensure there is an open tuner availalble. Looking at the LiveTV tab in Emby server, one of the 4 tuners is showing locked. If I attempt to show any other channel, I get the same error message. Also, the new show selection is locking a second tuner without releasing the fist one.
Chuck 17
PSSS ... OK, last post before you have an opportunity to look at this, promise. :-) Stopped Emby and ServerWMC, restarted Emby first this time. Now, inconsistent behavior where some channels are erroring and locking tuners where others seem to be working. Looks like we're all over the place. Chuck 17
OK ... I lied ... One last time ... Looks like the tuner locking and error are inconsistent. The channel lock happens when I get the error. I go back to the Live TV tab in Emby, and release the channel. Sometimes, the same channel that errored out works. I also still get the choppy video behavior and sound out of synch on HD channels, even when moving the max video quality to 1080p - 5Mbs max (this is testing on the local machine). pr3dict 33
So this issue has manifested into something different now. Originally, for wahtever reason ServerWMC decided that the channels it was importing were all DRMed and would not send them to Emby. I then unchecked the box that said "Hide DRM channels" in ServerWMC and it started exporting them back to Emby so I can view them (They arent DRMd) BUT NOW When I try and record something in Emby it will only play on the host computer and wont be available for viewing outside through any of the clients because I guess the DRM tag was still sent to emby and DRM tagged stuff doesnt get shown in the front end or something.... Can you please help? How do I tell Emby to disregard the DRM tagged content and "try" to stream it anyway?
