jhs39 13
I was having problems with my internet connection dropping and the AT&T tech claimed it was my modem. I had a separate set-up with a Motorola Modem and a Asus router--now I have a Pace 5031NV all in one and I cannot get the Roku Embry App to connect to my computer. I tried to open specific ports on the hardware firewall for Embry but that didn't work. I then disabled the hardware firewall to allow all applications on the computer to go through and that didn't work. Is anybody familiar with this particular hardware? Is there a way to set it up so Emby works ith it? Server Log: http://paste2.org/zBIDMncO
Luke 37029
Well I see traffic in that log from the Roku app so everything looks fine there. You probably want to start by describing your problem in more detail.
jhs39 13
Well, I click on the Roku app and it either doesn't access the database on my computer at all, giving me a message that it can't access my database or, on rare occasions, it will access my database enough to show titles but if I try to play anything the Roku app immediately crashes and I'm back at the channel selection screen on Roku. I can't stream anything whatsoever from my computer to my Roku since the 5031NV was installed this afternoon. I tried creating exceptions for the ports Embry uses, then I completely turned off the hardware firewall in the 5031NV to allow any programs to access the computer without restrictions--it still didn't work. Luke 37029
well if this is all happening inside your home network then i don't think the hardware firewall even matters, right? If i'm right about that then you should try grabbing the zip version and getting a roku log http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/16251-how-to-obtain-a-log-from-the-media-browser-roku-client/
jhs39 13
I have litrerally no idea what you are saying. I have very limited technical knowledge. I click on the Emby icon in Roku, it tries to connect, I get the spinning circle and please wait and then an unable to connect message. I can't be the only person with AT&T U-verse who is using Embry. Somebody must know how to configure this all in one modem router (5031NV) so it works with Embry. Everything on Roku works fine except Emry--I cannot connect to computer with Embry.
