speechles 1917
Ok, now external player support was always a no-brainer. It just worked. ... but time moves on ... Since the change to emby, this is sadly not the fact. When you play to an external player, why is it transcoding to m3u8? Lets assume I am using BSPlayer, which supports whatever I throw at it. Why is the android app transcoding when passing to external player applications? Also, once it does this, now you get an ffmpeg process that will never go away. Well, until it finishes anyways. This is just comical, and sad, and makes the android applicaiton look like .. well .. for lack of any better word .. shit. I was unfortunately one of the early adopters and paid for this application before it was free. I didn't expect the main reason for using the app to become this laughable pile of .. well .. same word I used above. Is there going to be any attempt to clean any of this up for users of external players? It is quite useless and sad in its present condition. It represents emby in a poor light and is quite offensive to see it in this condition. Please fix it. Please. With sugar and cherries on top.
Luke 37049
can you investigate a little?
iam4uk 26
I've noticed that since the update to "Emby for Android," during the rare times the application shows any content from any folder, it won't play .mkv filetypes anymore.
