Series recording option has disappeared

Since switching from ServerWMC to NextPVR to try and get more consistent Live TV recordings when I'm away from home, I have noticed that the option to record a series is missing from the server and the android app. The option is in the NextPVR interface however, but i prefer to carry out these functions directly in Emby.

 

I'm currently running the Stable Beta - Version 3.0.5572.0

 

Am I missing something, or do I need to go back to running the Developer versions.

 

Any help will be appreciated.

Update:

Today the server showed that NextPVR was updated with Fix "Serie Recording"

I have been through all the recording TV pages and found nothing different. What am I doing wrong.

I'm on server version: 3.0.5768.5

I found with mine it depended on the guide I was using.  Once I switched to using SchedulesDirect this has become much more solid, but previously using EPG data it would often disappear.  I think it may be because whatever identifies it as a series is missing from the data.

If you try to record a program. You don't get the option to do "series recording"? It should be with the latest version of the plugin...

Also try to rerun your "Update Guide" task?

I regularly update the guide, so its not that. I'm in New Zealand so use EPGCollector to get my EPG data as xmltv into NPVR. So maybe that's the problem. We can't use Schedules Direct here to my knowledge. I can send logs if they would help.

Thanks so much Sven for all your efforts, I really appreciate it.

All the Series recording options are now there, but after setting several new recordings, they don't show up as Series recordings, both in the guide or the series recording page.

I'll keep testing and see if i'm doing something wrong.

Can you maybe add a screenshot?

Can you also some log files? With the debug logging on (On the nextpvr plugin)

2 screenshots attached. The first shows a daily show selected. The second shows the Scheduled page and the show is not displaying the Series red icon. On the Series page this show is not in the list.

Also attached clean logs from the Server and NPVR.

Please let me know what else you need if I have missed anything.

Sorry to pester but this problem is still there. I'm on latest beta.

Not a biggie, but it's a nuisance to have to set a series recording in NPVR.

And you can see it as recording in nextpvr? Because on my own installation i see everything (the one that are series :) ) that i did as a series recording...

Even after the update or the NPVR plugin today I still can't setup a Series recording from the server.- only possible from NPVR itself. So this bug points to something in the Plugin or on The Server.

if I setup a Series in the Server it always only shows as a one-off recording both in the Server and in NPVR.

So nothing has changed since my post 3 weeks ago.

I'm not sure what to try next.

I have rechecked in the XMLTV output and can't find any problems there.

Let me know if you want new logs or anything else that may be of help.

Yeah, be sure you put the debug logging "ON" on the next pvr plugin when you post your logs. Because when i test it at home i see the serie recordings ...

Here are new clean logs from NPVR and the Server.

 

I always have the NPVR debug logging on.

 

After setting a Series recording (every Saturday) of - "Border Patrol" - TVOne at 3.30pm 

It only shows up as a single recording in The Server and in NPVR.

 

When I go back to the show in the guide and click the record icon the Series check-box is unchecked.

I get the same behavior whether it's a weekly show or a daily show.

 

If i go into NPVR to change the recording it is locked as a single recording.

 

Let me know if you need anything else.

@@rikiwi Maybe i found something, but i need to do some more testing. But i don't have any development environment for the moment. 

I keep you posted and you will probably see a new version in a couple days. :)

Grrrr, issues with EPG data. I don't receive any epg data anymore.

Always used mc2xml, but i don't receive any new data. Schedules direct is not available in Belgium

 

Any other idea's to get EPG for Belgium?

I use EPG Collector but I see that they don't include Belgium in the list of countries supported.

Have You tried: http://wiki.xmltv.org/

I don't know anything abot it but it's listed as being a global scraper.

I tried that 2 weeks ago. But with the old version of webgrab. And it didn't work.

Did an update. And now it works. :) Great i have again EPG data. :)

 

For the serie recordings i am now checking with people from nextpvr...
