xnappo 1593
@@olerocker, we need you to post the FULL log file from when the error occurs. So: 1. Delete the log file 2. Recreate the problem 3. Post the full log file and tell us what you tried to play and at what time, and what the database looked like before and after the corruption. Thanks!xnappo
olerocker 7
Ok I will try to do this today just a few question. 1. Is there some kind of level setting for the log file ? 2. When you say how the database looked before and after the corruption do you mean screenshots from the web browser ? Sorry if I'm being a pain. xnappo 1593
Not at all - you are being quite helpful. 1. @@Luke Does he need to turn on more logging on the server side? 2. Yeah, screenshots of the Web client showing before and after would be helpful. Thanks, xnappo

olerocker 7
Ok, here we go. I tried playing a few files to document what seems to be happening that could be corrupting the metadata. 1. In the Main Screen before and after pics i have marked the video files that were played. a.) The file marked as S3,E10 had a subtitle file already in its folder. b.) The file marked as S3,E11 had no subtitle at all. c.) The files marked as S3,E12 - S3,E13 had subtitles downloaded by kodi through the program´s subtitle option. This is the timestamp of this little attempt. 17:37-----------S3,E10 - start18:23-----------S3,E10 - stopped18:24-----------S3,E11 - start19:09-----------S3,E11 - stopped19:13-----------S3,E12 - start (paused to download subtitle)19:58-----------S3,E12 - stopped20:01-----------S3,E13 - start (paused to download subtitle)20:44-----------S3,E13 - stopped From what I see, something happens to the metadata when you ask for kodi to download a subtitle. Though after the playback of file S3,E11 metadata appeared to be correct in the web browser. But after playing back file S3,E12 both those files metadata got corrupted. Cant understand while that would happen to a previous file though. This is documented in: server-63564711992_Log1.txt 2. On server-63564711992_Log2.txt I have documented the behaviour of just 1 file being played S3,E12. Also i have submitted a before and after pic concerning the metadata of a the altered metadata file that was played. Hope this helps. For anything more feel free ta ask. server-63564711992_Log1.txt server-63564711992_Log2.txt Edited April 15, 2015 by olerocker

breezytm 124
Maybe the problem really isn't Emby for Kodi add-on-on related. I uninstalled the add-on about two weeks ago and refreshed my library. I went throught everything single season to make sure the server didn't have the scrabbled info and they were fine. Whatever was messed up I fixed. Randomly I am seeing the issue again. I thought I'll share.
Angelblue05 4130
@@breezytm I believe this is solved in dev (I am on it, and I've not experienced the issue again). Basically any changed that would be detected in the content's folder was causing the episode to lose the season/episode number. Is that what you've been experiencing as well? breezytm 124
Well recently I deleted all the backdrops folders, theme files, .srt files, and a few others. I just want to keep my folders clean. That may explain it. I will switch to dev branch.

breezytm 124
@@Luke the bug is back. Not to long ago I sat down and fixed all the infected episodes. Now the issue is back again. In the meantime while dev tea look into it for a resolution, can we get a "refresh media" schedule task. This thing is creating a big mess in my trakt.tv account since it can not identify what the episodes are. The task can refresh all the library items every night or something.
