Hey everyone,

Just to let you all know that Emby now has a presence on IRC!

We can be found on both EFNet and Freenode at #emby. The EFNet channel is a discussion channel for the entire community and the Freenode channel is for development.

Please come and join us! We would love to have you.

Been kind of dull. We have about 10 users who show up on a fairly regular basis. We have had a few good chats but things are fairly slow.

Might be a good idea to use a irc web client (qwebirc for example) in the "chat" tab here on the site, rather than using the current chatroom.

Maleficarum

There's really no need. Most users drop in ask a question and then leave without giving time for an answer. IRC won't change that.

That might be true, but there is a better chance that you'll get a reply from the irc channel with 35 users than from the chat with 2 users

I've always loved IRC as well, especially when to community engages in things like weekly movie nights etc.

I agree. The website chat has an average of 1 user.
