Playing Trailer plugin trailers

Hi,

 

I need some assistance if I can.

 

I have the latest Trailers plugin installed and I believe it is working fine on the MB server side of things.  It is running it's scheduled update task fine, it populates the list of trailers and downloads the metadata.

 

When I go to play a trailer, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then I get a WMC 'Cannot Play Video' error message (blue WMC background).

 

I've looked at the MBC logs and it looks to me like its handing it off ok to WMC to play.

 

Have I got a codec issue or something?  I swear it used to work ok for me.  I've got a quite old version of shark codecs installed (x86 and x64), but it hasn't missed a beat for local content in a loooong time

MB3 server is latest version.

 

Have tried installing earlier version of trailers plugin too without success

edit: if I downloaded the mov files directly from the apple site I can play them locally in windows media player fine

It is definitely a codec issue,either update the Shark codecs or try Lav filters.

OK, updated to latest Shark Codecs and it works now.  Was scared to touch the codecs as they have been working flawlessly for ages
