Actually no it didn't (at least the one show I tried).  It just had a black screen no sound.  I can try others later today but I suspect I may get the same result.  The file was an MP4 h264 with 2 channel ACC audio.

Ok. I've confirmed I am able to play the files now. I did have an issue where play stopped partway through (black screen, no sound). I pressed stop and went back to the menu and it did save where I left off. However when I go back to the episode there is no resume button, only play (picture attached)

Yeah, I'm not sure. I am having the "black screen" with the above URL as well. I'm using URLLoader 1.3 if that helps. It's a Sony BDP S3200 blu-ray player. I guess it's 1.5 years old now (Jan 2015). If there is anything I can do to help you figure out the issue, please let me know.

This is because of if HDMI Control is not functioning correctly you may need to manually select the correct intput on your TV to see the content from your Blu-ray player. Check which input you've connected your blu-ray player to on your TV then select that input on your TV to begin playback. Use Sony BDP-S3200 Manual to troubleshoot.

I'm trying with one of those HIsense TVs with OperaTV OS and Foxxum app store. I can load http://operatv.emby.media , but it never pass the part where I select the server. If I connect directly to my LAN address, the web doesn't load OK.

Am I trying the right URL? Emby 3.2.12.0 is the proper version for this test?

I tried it on my Sony Bravia KDL-32WD759BAEP.

In the URLoader I used http://operatv.emby.media

For the server I used 192.168.1.100 and http://192.168.1.100 and https://myserver.com

The TV then tries to connect, the longest with https://myserver.com, but didn't succeed.

I tried it also on my Windows 10 desktop.

The same happend, but there came a message (translated from Dutch):

operatv.emby.media reports the following:

On this moment it is not possible to connect with the selected server.

Check whether these is running and try again.

Is there a solution?

On my desktop I also made an account via https://emby.media/connect.html  > Sign Up for you free Emby Connect account.

But this didn't help.

Did you link your Emby Connect account to a local user on your Emby Server?

You can learn how to do that on our wiki:

https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Emby%20Connect

Thanks.

You can install Emby Server by downloading it from our website:

https://emby.media/download.html

Enjoy.

Thank you.

I have installed the Emby Server for Windows on my Windows 10 desktop.

Do I now have to Accept your invitation?

Sorry for my slow apprehension.

Hi @@Brampy, no, it's your Emby Server. Now you need to connect to your Emby server from the Emby Opera TV app. So now just run the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

Because of the probems I removed the server from my PC en installed it again, but this time most carefully and with all steps a.o. adding my Emby acccount to the server.

Now it works with the URL Loader from the Opera store on my TV.

Ofcourse the PC must be running. But do I have to start the server myself? How? I made a link to mediabrowser.serverapplication, exe on the desktop of the PC.

And another question. For some reason I thougt there would be a beter plugin for browsing the web then the URL Loader, But there is no internet browser plugin for the server.

By the way, in the mean time I understand that an internet browser on a smart TV is almost useless anyway, because it has no programs like Adobe Flash or Microsoft Silverlight so that a lot of video's on websites cannot be played (a.o. those on www.voetbalinside.nl). (My TV has a YouTube app, so that is no problem).

Greetz,

Hi.  Investigate the "Settings" area of the server configuration dashboard (left side menu - Settings option).  Please let us know if that helps.

As far as better plugin goes, yes, as soon as our app is in the Opera store, then that will be a much better option.

Hi.  Investigate the "Settings" area of the server configuration dashboard (left side menu - Settings option).  Please let us know if that helps.

I went there and found the possibity Start (with Windows, with an icon in the system tray).

But there is also a warning: you can't use both the app  and the windows service.

What is the "app" and what the "Windows service"?

But my question was in fact the followng.:

When I want to use Emby via the URL Loader I think my PC must be running. OK?

And do I also have to activate mediabrowser.serverapplication.exe or will that be opened automatically from the TV?

And if I have to open it myself, what is then the easiest way to do this?

Yes do you have to run the Emby Server app prior to running the TV app. You can just run it from the windows start menu. Does that answer your question?

Yes. Thank you for your friendly reaction again.

I found the icon Emby Server in Start when I signed in as Administrator.

And I liked to know whar the local Service Emby Server does, but that is for now completely unimportant.
