Good afternoon,

I downloaded the Media Browser server last night and i have to say it is a lot better then the Plex server i have previously been using. It actually finds my files and downloads the proper artwork for them, and not some random program.

What i was wondering was, is there a program you can either side-load on to your LG Tv or download, instead of using the normal network connection, and not being able to see the thumbnails? Plex was ok at showing thumbnails (albeit the complete wrong ones), but has since stopped showing any whatsoever!

Thank you for your help in advance

Welcome! What type of TV is your LG?

Is it 'smart'?

There are a couple options actually.

You maybe interested in the DLNA route or I believe there is an LG smart tv option under our 'other apps' section.

I know someone build a Samsung TV option.

42LB580v-ZM it is a smart tv and I've used the DLNA setup before, but I like to see my files with the thumbnails for the folders, like pled used to be.

Thank you

Agreed, would love to see an MB app for the LG Smart TV. Just picked one up the other day and am impressed with the speed of the other apps on the device. Been using DLNA to connect to my MB server and it works well, but we use MB clients on all the other TV's in the house. Wish I could program, but would be glad to help out any way I can.

Hello,

I am new to LG and Apps but I would really like to build this app. Because of time issues I think I could make it within 2 months.

What do you think about that?

Greetings,

Badumts

Hello,

are you still working on this? Also are you working on a NetCast or a WebOS app?

I was thinking of experimenting a bit with Netcast apps, but I wouldn't want to waste my time if you're working it.

Hi Simon

Any news on the Emby/LG TV app?

Been using PlayZ for a while now but getting frustrated with Plex's performance on my NAS and eventually got round to cloning your GitHub project for this a few days and started to poke around. Then yesterday I recommissioned an old laptop to play around with, installed Emby and went hunting and came across this post.

If you are interested in any help with this, feel free to get in touch. Happy to contribute to the actual development (assuming it's a HTML/CSS/JavaScript based thing like PlayZ) or just help with testing. If not, no problem - I'll just look forward to the app when done.

I just want to update you all because I know you are waiting for an Emby for LG app. We have submitted it to the LG store but there appears to be a very long wait time in the app review process. Hopefully it will not be too much longer. Thank you for your patience.

While you're waiting for the official app, feel free to try out screenplay.  It was released globally to the LG store today for WebOS2 and greater TVs.  Support thread is here
