Set a specific Library Order?

Apologies if this has been covered before, a search did not reveal anything.

Is there a way to set the Order in which Libraries are listed? The default order appears to be Alphabetical.

To show what I am after, I have 3 movie Libraries - Kids, Family; and for lack of a better term Mature - this is also the order I would like them shown. Currently they are shown in this order - Family, Kids, Mature - and yes I could rename Kids to Children but the full title then become too long to display on a single line in WMC...Childrens Movies [GA]...and the kids say thats confusing.

Any help wold be appreciated.

yes media folder order is a user preference, click on the user icon in top right of web client..

Thanks, I had had a look at that but it does not allow for what I want to do, it appears that the Web Client allows for the Ordering of the Library 'types' eg Movies, TV, Music but not the Individual Libraries themselves. It does list all individual libraries but with only the functionality of turning viewing them on or off .

it does for me...each media folder (as defined in server config or by plugin) shows under "View Order" and i can order them.

make sure you have not aggregated your media folders that you want to order under "My Views" (leave them unticked)...then you are free to order at the media folder/plugin level.

Just go into the Metadata Manager and click on each media folder. You will see a Sort Name field. I have the same circumstance and with the main adults profile I wanted them in the order we would normally access them: Shows, Movies, Kids Shows, Anime, Kids Movies - Obviously not alphabetical. I just went into each and set the Sort Name to 001, 002, 003, 004, etc and both the web and MBC obey the order.

Thankyou fraenhawk, that was the answer. It not only allowed me to set my own display order, but also allowed for another issue to be resolved (the new Library names were not propagating through the Web client or MBC.)
