Today nVidia released the GTX 960 which is to replace the dated 660 that released about 2 years ago. In short its specs are a cut in half GTX 980, but for anyone who games at 1080p it should handle just about anything you can throw at it. Performance for power wise you can't beat it since it starts at $199. If you want to game at 4k you will need to look elsewhere, but for 1080p this is a good card to go with, since its next up GTX 970 is almost double the price at $350. Its only weak point seems to be that its only a 2GB card.

With HDMI 2.0 AND full hardware HEVC decoding (something even the 970/980 don't have), this is the new HTPC gaming level card. Now we just need a '940/950' for base HTPC.....although that new Intel GPU driver just added HEVC decoding as well.
