TonkaTuff 6
Hi guys. Can someone please point me to the location to disable Kodi metadata? On the Kodi tab under Metadata the narrative includes the statement: "To enable or disable Kodi metadata, use the Advanced tab to configure options for your media types." However, I can't find any relevent settings under Library > Advanced or under the top-level Advanced section. Thanks for your help.
Solution pünktchen 1251 Posted January 21, 2015 Solution Share Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) It is under each metadata service if you want to read and/or write nfo files. Edited January 21, 2015 by pünktchen
ebr 14902
It is under each metadata service if you want to read and/or write nfo files. This is correct. However nfo is now our default format.
MrFlibbles 21
I think to "disable" kodi metadata, you just need to uncheck the boxes on the kodi tab in your screen shot: Save image paths within nfo filesEnable path substitutionCopy extrafanart into extrathumbs This is what I have done and it keeps the metadata cleaner.
TonkaTuff 6
Thanks guys, that's helpful. Can I suggest updating the text from my screenshot to something like: "Kodi metadata can be enabled or disabled for each media type. This is configured on the Metadata > Services tab. Select the media type to configure from the 'Customize for Media Type" drop list then check/uncheck "Nfo" under "Metadata Savers"." Thanks again. FrostByte 5041
It's a lot easier to do what MrFibbles said to do I think. It automatically unchecks the nfo box under each media type without having to select movies, music, etc and unchecking the nfo box. Just do it once
