lukvacek 0
Hello, I just tried to install media browser on my server and everything went well except I can't access the server dashboard. Logging in with the user account setup during installation goes to the client and there is no cog in the upper right corner to access the dashboard. I tried doing a complete uninstall, reboot, etc. and nothing works. Any ideas how to fix this? Can I edit a file somewhere to give the user admin privileges? At the moment there is just one user (the one created during account setup) and it looks like it doesn't have admin access. Thanks!
lukvacek 0
Figured it out. If you go to ~/.config/mediabrowser-server/users/[user's UID] you can add admin privilidges by setting IsAdministrator to true in BOTH xml files.
Luke 36883
this happened with a fresh install?
lukvacek 0
Yep, this happened with a fresh install using the latest installer dowloaded from the media browser homepage. Tried uninstalling by deleting the server app and the config folder a couple times and reinstalling but that didn't help - only manually editing the xml files did. I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 btw.
