mozbius 3
Hi, I've just paid for a lifelong support for trailer channel and I can see a trailer icon under Windows Media Center on my PC but that same icon doesn't show on xbox360 for the same movie. Why?
ebr 14903
Local trailers are not a supporter only feature - only the channel is (which will automatically download local trailers for you). So that isn't a part of whatever is happening here. Is the 360 running on a different type of TV (like a 4:3 one maybe)?
Luke 37006
Actually as of recently the plugin is able to link up movies with online trailers, and masquerade them as local trailers, and that does require a supporter membership. In the api they are called LocalTrailers, which isn't entirely appropriate anymore, but they do return normal video items.
techywarrior 688
I posted about the changes to the Trailers functionality, or at least the display in the web client, as well. I think it's become really confusing and probably warrants at least a few options at some point. At minimum maybe just an option to display it or not but better would be options as to what is displayed there (local only, upcoming in theaters, Netflix, dvd/bluray). Local could include that new functionality of it linking local movies to online trailers.

ebr 14903
Yes my xbox is running on a old TV 4:3. Is that my problem? It very well may be as there can be display issues on 4:3 format screens.
mozbius 3
It very well may be as there can be display issues on 4:3 format screens. Wow any workaround? Or perhaps a theme that would help with this? Otherwise it's pretty much money thrown out of the window for no benefit. Luke 37006
Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?
ebr 14903
Yes, a screenshot would help but it is very hard for us to sacrifice designs for 4:3 formats in this day and age. If there is something that can be done without sacrificing the design, we will try to do it. You could try the Classic theme...
BAS 225
Square shows a trailer button icon in the final media page and it would show up on a 4:3 display.

ebr 14903
Wow, what is the resolution on that Xbox? We don't support anything below 720p at this point.
