sundevil67 28 Posted October 30 Posted October 30 When I try to use the "watch trailer" button, the links are unavailable in YouTube. This is a new problem, though I can't be sure which update it began after. I'm not sure if there is any relation to it, but when I try to use the function through a browser on my Macbook, it also doesn't seem to be working very well... I've been watching a spinner for about 4 minutes now, and it's still going despite more than adequate bandwidth. Anyone else having issues with spawning YouTube trailers?
innervenus 1 Posted October 30 Posted October 30 I'm having issues as well ... trailers stopped wotking a few weeks ago on ALL my android devices. Whenever I try to "watch Trailer" it brings up the youtube "error code 15" screen. No issues with any other app or web interface connection problem only wiht the android APP (the normal android version, various releases, not the "made for TV" one). Seems to be an issue on or off of a VPN. It's been driving me nuts!
sundevil67 28 Posted October 31 Author Posted October 31 I'm away right now and cant check the exact version of my Android FIreTV Emby version, but I am trying to view trailers on my Apple TV version, and couldn't load a single one. I tried several movies & a couple of TV shows, and I click the button & just nothing happens. There's no spawned window with a YouTube error like the other one (I don't know the error code off the top of my head, but my experience was similar to that of @innervenus. I also just tried again from my browser, and no dice either.
Luke 41280 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Hi, this should be resolved in Emby for Android 3.5.15. If you can sideload to try it out, that would be very helpful. We'll get it out to the store as soon as we can. Thanks.
innervenus 1 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 I tried side loading the Android X84/X64most recent (as found on the site downloads links) using DOWNLOADER and it wont install? ... FireTV DOWNLOADER just shows "APP NOT INSTALLED" (no error code?), and my phone also wont install with a message saying "not compatible with this phone" message? The x64 should be the right selection in both cases?
FrostByte 5369 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Shouldn't you be using the amazon one in the link below for your FireTV. For your phone it would be one of the arm releases depending on if your phone is 64 or 32bit. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Releases/tree/master/android
innervenus 1 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 YOUR RIGHT! My bad, I can confirm that my phone (ARM64) and FireTV (ARM7) apps when updated appear to be playing trailers properly now! Thanks for all the help! What a wonderful community! Much appreciated! 1

FrostByte 5369 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 If you do not have an Amazon TV then use one of the arm downloads. You will need to know if your TV is running in 32 or 64 bit though.
FrostByte 5369 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 If you can't find what mode your TV is running in then you could try arm64 and I'm sure it will fail if you're running in 32bit mode. Then just try the other arm one.

Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.
himisk71 3 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I was wrong, the trailer is not working on mobile app too. And this is the"Emby für Android"-App (3.4.73)

Luke 41280 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 HI, please try updating to Emby for Android 3.5.15+. Thanks.

Ok, that works for mobile phone. for the tv, i dont like the "Emby für Android"-App because i feel it has a small lag on every input, the "Emby for AndroidTV"-App runs smoother. But i will try if the trailers will work with this app. By the way, i never understand which app is for what for. are both apps are supported and will go further in development. or is one of them outdated soon?

Neminem 1134 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 OMG @LukeSo another nail in the coffin for the all migthy Android for TV app. This is in deed a sad day. I absolutely HATE the Universal android app usage on a handheld remote control. 7
PeterDB 2 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Can you implement the fix for Emby for Windows, as the trailers are not loading there either.
