I recently installed a mesh network in my home and since then I've been getting this error every time I open up the Emby app. What's strange is, the error shows up even as Emby is accessing the server. Any idea why this error comes up every time?

Probably because an old address is either being published by your server or is remembered by the app.  The app will retry the connection different ways.  One way is failing the other is working.

Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Thanks.

I can definitely try that, but I was under the impression that you had to pay for the Android app. I'm not a premiere member

Playback is allowed on up to five TV devices.

Emby for Android solved the problem.

What is the issue with the Fire TV app? Is this a bug?

Again, thanks for the feedback. I am curious though whether this is a bug. I have switched back to the fire stick app because of the Android app hanging constantly when my TV sleeps. Will this "unable to connect" error be fixed in future releases?

If you sign out and back in, that should go away.

Thanks. Signing out didn't work. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and that seems to have solved the problem.
