adrianwi 268 Posted September 11 Posted September 11 I've just got a Lenovo Chromebook Duet to test/play with, and thought I'd see how it handled emby. It looks like the chromeOS version of emby is no longer supported in the latest version of chromeOS - 139.0.7258.164 - so I installed the Android version 3.4.74. It seems to work well, but playback on some movies is too fast, even though speed setting at 1x. I thought it might be the MediaTek processor in the Duet, but I tried on another Chromebook with an Intel CPU and that's the same, I'll pop a log file onto a message. Thanks, Adrian
adrianwi 268 Posted September 11 Author Posted September 11 No. Some HEVC and x264 in a mixture of .MKV and .mp4 containers. Some things play OK. I've sent you a couple of log files. Thanks

It seems to be files with AC3 that turns into high speed playback? The video codec doesn't seem to matter. When I reencoded the audio to AAC they went back to normal speed. The same files used to play fine before, something happened in an update this year. 1
Luke 41257 Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Hi, are you still seeing this with Emby for Android 3.5.12 ?
tattler 31 Posted October 12 Posted October 12 (edited) This issue has not resolved with the latest Emby for Android 3.5.12. The playback on Chromebook is still way too fast. See my issue here: I don't have x265/HEVC mkv, only x254 with AVC. Even with the latest Emby server version 4.9.1.80 the issue still persists. Very strange. It was playing fine before. No idea when the issue started... It works fine though with Emby for Android TV but the GUI is not so usable on the Chromebook. Emby for Android also seems to be confused with the orientation of the app. It will rotate upside down when Chromebook is turned upside down in landscape mode. Tablet mode also does not work. The orientation is wrong. The display rotation is set to 0 (the default). I tried all other rotation settings and it does not work. Edited October 12 by tattler
adrianwi 268 Posted October 16 Author Posted October 16 It's still a problem for me with some, but not all, formats. 1
