muzicman0 78 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I have ZERO doubts that I am doing something completely wrong. But I can't seem to find a comprehensive guide on how to set up the Kodi Add-On to work with the IPTV Simple Add-on. I have Live TV working in Emby, but can't get it in Kodi. I am on the 11.x branch of Emby4Kodi NG, and I have installed the IPTV Simple Add-on. but then...nothing. I feel like I am missing something.
RonB26 13 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Have you tried the following in Kodi. System>Add-ons>My Add-ons>Services>Emby for Kodi next gen>configure>sync>manage libraries>Enable live TV This works for me.
muzicman0 78 Posted August 13 Author Posted August 13 I will check that out. Once I remembered (doh!) that IPTV Simple doesn't support Timers in Kodi I started looking for a different solution and think I solved my actual problem without needing the add-on.
RonB26 13 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Using the Add-on, I'm able to use long press in the TV guide to have Emby record the show. This shows up as EMBY:Record.
muzicman0 78 Posted August 13 Author Posted August 13 Yeah, in my case, I am using multiple DVR's (and I normally use Channels DVR to record). I wanted a unified interface in Kodi to show all of my upcoming recordings in one view, but the channels DVR Kodi plugin doesn't seem to allow multiple profiles. I ended up using NextPVR just as my remote recording solution (I get no OTA antenna signal at home, but great signal at my office a few miles away - so I record OTA TV there) and Channels DVR at home. I then import the recordings to Emby with an automated script. So far it seems to work well for what I want.
